The April full moon, also called pink moon, happened to be a super moon this year. On the night where the moon reached its peak brightness back in April, I set a plan and wish to capture the moon rising behind the landmark volcano Mt.Rainier in Washington, US, and drove an hour for the right angel. However, the low hanging clouds on the horizon completely blocked the mountain and I couldn't get my desired shot. As moon rose, my friend suggested that maybe I could shot the moon through these branches in front of us and it turns out to be a brilliant idea. I purposely focused on the branches to blur the moon slightly. We worked the scene together to make sure the moon was in the right spot and waited the breeze the calm down so I can capture the sharp branches. I really enjoy this cooperation process with my friend and the end result!

A Super Fleet powered stacker roars along the weathered telegraph poles on the Cajon subdivision. The San Gabriel mountains are already in the distance as the train is only minutes away from Barstow, in a few moments it will bang across Lenwood Road.
GP60M 154 is in the lead and in comparison the 555 built by GE already shows a pinkish red.

An Icelandic Super Jeep. This beast of a machine boasts with a 7.3 liter V8 engine, 48" tyres, and passenger capacity of ten. I was highly impressed with its performance on a tour over some of the mountains and rockier paths of Iceland.
According to experts who should know, this is a Super Moon, closest to the Earth it will be in 2020, alternatively known as the Pink Moon, not for it's color, but the colors of the season.

Blood Super Moon during a Lunar Eclipse on the night of a Super Moon, 9/27/2015 in Borrego Springs California. The moon was in the full shadow of the earth making the moon appear Red (Blood Color).

Apparently suffering from low serviceability levels, so it was nice that two of six Super Lynx Mk.100s of the Royal Malaysian Navy attending the maritime segment of LIMA-23. M501-1 was on static display while M501-6 took part in most of the daily tac demos.
I wanted to capture The Super Blue Bood Moon early this morning but it had clouded over and was snowing. Shot this last night.
Super Bowl City
The beacon light was on tonight for the Super Bowl event. It was the first time to see they lit up the Transamerica building with red light :) The mini star was so bright that you can see the water reflection of it. It is part of the super bowl city night colors view. I will share more photos later. I did not make it to the fireworks last night. What a beautiful mini star of the bay!

The sun had not yet set when the moon rose last night and the setting sun provided some nice lighting on the lighthouse. The boat is a little blurry because of the motion, but I didn't think it detracted from the moon. And it was a super night too, with friends and others who came out to watch the moon rise before the sun set.

After 45 minutes of crazy running around the Washington Monument in an attempt to get a good angle without any clouds, I finally got a perfect gap in the clouds that allowed me to get this shot. Awesome night.
The super moon was setting behind this old Alaskan homestead around seven o'clock this morning. It illuminated our boreal forest, casting shadows hither and yond. I found myself mesmerized by the silence and the beauty that surrounded me when I snapped this photo. However, my closest neighbors who live on the homestead, appeared to be fast asleep.
With snow in our forecast for this afternoon and tonight - I believe this was the only chance that I had to record this particular moon.
