La Superluna Azul que ocurrió este 30 y 31 de agosto de 2023 es un fenómeno bastante raro, pues conjunta dos eventos astronómicos en realidad: una Superluna y una Luna Azul. Mientras que el primero suele ocurrir varias veces al año debido a la cercanía del astro con nuestro planeta, la segunda es mucho más rara y ocurre cada dos o tres años de acuerdo con información de la NASA.

A matched set of Ohio Central adorned Super 7's are just out of Zanesville on a summer morning. They'll follow the Muskingum River in the background for a little while longer before turning into the rolling hills of eastern Ohio with their end goal of Cambridge.

Cooper was the third dog to visit the farm on Christmas Day. He gets a kick out of seeing the alpacas and goats.
As usual, I told the owner where to find and download the photo. There's a QR code in the info kiosk by the gate that links to the farm's photo album on Flickr. I also make prints of many dog photos, and leave them in the farmstand for pickup.
After overnight temperatures dropped to -8deg C, December 1st 2019 yielded a perfect, windless winter day in the Northern Fells. Merchant Navy Class 35018 "British India Line" passes Salterwath in great style with the second "Santa Special" of the season, hauling a 13 coach load, plus train heating diesel loco. This situation happens only rarely!
From my backyard handheld, not perfect, but this is the Pink Super Moon for today April 7, 2020. (Black and white because it wasn't pink with all the haze here)

My Super Stopper arrived Tuesday. This is one of the first tries with it, Filters used = Super Stopper, 2 stop soft grad ND to balance the sky, Lee landscape polarizer. The Super Stopper and polarizer gave me a 6 minute exposure. The image is somewhat noisy. I'll have to work on reducing that.
