d66771a. This is absolutely incredible!

There are excellent comprehensive interpretive signs for this national park, except that not one of them even mentions the nude beach!!!

This is Queensland's premier nude beach. It is extremely popular. Various nude events are held here. And yet not the local council nor National Parks nor any other authority is willing to formally condone it existence!!!

Not only is it not mentioned on any sign, but it is not mentioned in any tourism brochures.

The main walking track in Noosa National Park includes the full length of this beach.... and yet tourists are not even notified that it is a nude beach.

Apparently this isn't a problem for the authorities. Apparently public nudity is of such non-consequence here that it doesn't need to be mentioned anywhere.

And yet if it is happens on any other beach, it would be a reportable offence, and the police and courts would delight in prosecuting offenders.

Something doesn't add up here!!!

Some conscientious person has done the right thing and marked the nude beach on this interpretive sign. Good on them!

Robert Blackmore, are these your thongs?

d76979a. Sign at the northern end of Sunshine Beach on the main walking track around Noosa Heads, which goes over the headland and then all the way along Alexandria Bay, which is a nude beach.

There is no mention of the nude beach on this sign.... which I think is just extraordinary!

Surely that is something that walkers need to know about in advance, rather than just stumbling upon it... or being confronted by nudists when one is totally not expecting it!

We spotted this 'Indian' standing in the road touting for business (getting tourists to visit a nearby market complex). I thought he was quite witty and could not resist taking his photo!

This image taken in Eumundi in the Sunshine Coast hinterland. A rather 'new age' type of town with lots of interesting shops and famous craft markets.

d80813a. This is a very nice set of interpretive signs (photos d80812a - d80816a), telling us everything we would ever want to know about Noosa National Park.

Except.... there is no mention of the nude beach at Alexandria Bay!!!

The map in this photo shows Alexandria Bay very clearly. The main walking track through the park goes along the full length of this beach. And yet the esteemed authorities don't deem it necessary to even mention, on any of these signs, nor on any other signs, that it is a nude beach, and that if you set out to do the walk around the park, you WILL have to walk amongst nudists!

I find this really quite amazing... and bizarre! Surely this is something that people need to know about.

Some shots from a recent trip to the Sunshine Coast, BC. Shot on a boring IPhone…

d76981a. No mention of the nude beach.

On this sign in the lower right corner... ' Please report details of unusual activity ... to the police '

Well.... most people would consider public nudity to be an unusual activity, if they hadn't been told that they were entering a public nude zone!

I wonder how many people go to Alexandria Bay completely not knowing about the nude beach. I wonder how many reports get made to the police, which the police then don't act on, as they know it is a totally accepted nude beach.

Why on earth can't the council, National Parks or the State Government make sure that there are signs telling people about this nude beach??!!

What gives with this incredibly duplicitous position that all the authorities hold - of condoning the nude beach, but feeling as though they can't dare to mention it, on any signs, in any brochures or in any sort of formal manner??

I find this situation just fully bizarre!

d80830a. This is at the point where the main walking track meets the beach at the north end of the beach. The walking track goes all the way along this beach and over the headland to the south. This whole beach is a well-accepted nude beach.

There is no mention on this sign nor on any other sign of the nude beach, which really is most inappropriate.

Sunshine Coast, BC.

The local community of the Sunshine Coast came together today to spell out #StopAdani at Peregian Beach.

2014 September visit and camping at Sunshine Coast of BC

Taken on a trip to the Sunshine Coast last year, at an otherwise unattractive part of the Gibsons waterfront. There is some other not bad graffiti there, but this one is in a whole different league. This reminds me of the work of artists like Futura 2000.

d76990a. I understand that this small beach has always been a nude beach. But apparently lately the police have been trying to close it down.
