I took this with my phone today at Horizon@22Bishopsgate which is a fairly new viewing platform on floor 58.Pretty cool place to visit for free Check it out or turn up and get free entry with a smart phone via their website...
Not the best of photo's but you get the picture kinda...
If you go on their website you can book a slot. OR If you turn up they will let you in, all you have to do is scan a QR code with your smartphone ( so you must have an app that reads the code on your phone ) supply them your email and address then they will let you through to security to go through the scanner.Didn't take very long and well worth a visit.

Downtown buildings by all means make a magnificent skyline in Vancouver. What I do more when wandering around, however, is to picture the cityscape with imaginary clouds drifting over at twilight!
It's one of the days that I got the chance to drive around the city to check the sky and clouds again... I drove to the seashore in West Vancouver at first as I thought I might get something interesting there. But not exactly what I expected, so I decided to go back to downtown. When driving over Lion Gate Bridge, I saw promising clouds around Stanley Park, so I detoured to the Park...
Although I've been here many times, it seemed to me an entirely different scenery with clouds like this... I was lucky enough that the clouds floated beautifully in my desired way after sunset and the wind was mild enough for me to get great reflections! lol...

This was taken at Great Falls National Park in Virginia about 10 minutes before sunset.
About 3 hours before sunset, the weather was very promising. There were many cirrus clouds streaking through the sky and a slight haze visible in the air, all of which should have brought out some interesting colors during and after sunset. Naturally, as I was driving there, the sky was quickly turning several shades of dark blue and gray as a uniform cloud cover slowly took over the sky.
This was the last bit of color before everything became murky gray.
Taken with a 0.9 ND Lee filter.
1/2 second exposure at f/22.
