Downtown buildings by all means make a magnificent skyline in Vancouver. What I do more when wandering around, however, is to picture the cityscape with imaginary clouds drifting over at twilight!
It's one of the days that I got the chance to drive around the city to check the sky and clouds again... I drove to the seashore in West Vancouver at first as I thought I might get something interesting there. But not exactly what I expected, so I decided to go back to downtown. When driving over Lion Gate Bridge, I saw promising clouds around Stanley Park, so I detoured to the Park...
Although I've been here many times, it seemed to me an entirely different scenery with clouds like this... I was lucky enough that the clouds floated beautifully in my desired way after sunset and the wind was mild enough for me to get great reflections! lol...

I have a number of regrets re these sunset images. We had to leave the Broken Hill Sculpture Park because we wanted to get out to Mundi Mundi Plains near Silverton for the sunset. Unfortunately we left our run too late and on driving away from the sculpture park we realised the sunset would be on us sooner than we had anticipated so we stopped below the Sculpture Park and waited for the sunset which seemed to take forever to evolve. I thought about driving back up to the Sculpture Park, which I should have done, however I was concerned I'd end up with nothing so I hung around down below to get these shots.
I looked for a suitable silhouette but there were no structures, boulders nor trees which may have enhanced the shots.
I also took these shots with my IPhoneX, another bad decision. I had my Canon in the car and should have got it out.
You win some you lose some, such is life.
