No time to go out to shoot it....but we had company , and the company was good...and the food was fine...and I have lots of good leftovers for today...and no complaints !!!

This morning found us in sunshine...a view of our guest bedroom..... with a basket made by my friend Mary, for our daughter's wedding...almost 23 years ago ( Mary died in 2011...I often think of her...)

...then some old pillows I made when I first learned to quilt, over 20 years ago....and one new one... bought just a couple of years ago.... done by one of San Blas indigenous Cuna women of Panama...marvellous reverse applique'.... a modern treasure, done to an old tradition, showing the utmost skill.... and colour sense....I love it ! Can you tell ?

God called me out of my darkness and into His wonderful Light…

“O chosen people, proclaim the mighty works of HIM who called you out of darkness into HIS wonderful Light.” 1 Peter 2:9

Tell me about the darkness He has called you out of...

MEDITATION

“...We do good things because of the goodness that is within us. That goodness is the presence of the Holy Spirit which empowers us to reach out and bring our brothers and sisters out of the darkness and into the Light. Much of the world today is in darkness because people have not experienced being personally loved by Christ. You are called to bring that Light to them. I pray that you will start within your own family, your priestly family.”

The sun goes down over Siblyback Lake in Cornwall after a beautiful day.

The Flying Dutchman, according to folklore, is a ghost ship that can never go home, doomed to sail the oceans forever. The Flying Dutchman is usually spotted from far away, sometimes glowing with ghostly light. It is said that if hailed by another ship, its crew will try to send messages to land or to people long dead. In ocean lore, the sight of this phantom ship is a portent of doom.

Sun rays oh sun rays

Never hide behind a cloud,

Sun rays all my days

That's what love's all about;

Give me no raining shower thought,

Nor glimpse of shadows I've caught...

Steeped in history, the Tuileries Garden was originally commissioned by Queen Catherine de' Medici in the 16th century. Today, it retains its regal charm, featuring statues and sculptures by renowned artists, along with beautifully designed formal gardens.

We stayed directly in Times Square and could see building after building while in our room. It also had to be the highest floor up I had ever stayed in.

As the Celebrity Constellation departed from the port of Key West, we had some spectacular sunset views from the ship's open upper upper decks as we sailed into the Gulf of Mexico.

Summer is coming very soon :)

If you look carefully, there is a huge Eagle about to fly from right to left over the Moon !! Looks like a dot on the photo :)

Let the light of late afternoon

shine through chinks in the barn, moving

up the bales as the sun moves down.

Let it come, as it will, and don’t

be afraid. God does not leave us

comfortless, so let evening come...

Nestled between the Louvre and Place de la Concorde, the Tuileries Garden offers a serene escape from the bustling city. With its meticulously manicured lawns, vibrant flowerbeds, and tranquil fountains, it's the perfect spot for a leisurely stroll or a peaceful afternoon with a book.
