Sunsets are so different every day, there are those that are just so epic and vibrant that make them unforgettable and then there are others that are just so much more soft and reflective. This is one of those others that I was lucky enough to witness and enjoy.

I had a choice that day to either follow these cells to the east or go after the newly developing cells to the south southwest. I'm glad I chose south...

Tanah Lot means Land in The Sea, a perfectly fit name for its unique offshore settings. The silhouette of Pura Tanah Lot is one of the most popular iconic features of Bali. Imagine the image of a Balinese temple (pura) perched high on the rock, facing the wide open ocean.
I will never forget sitting along this sea wall and experiencing this beautiful sunset along the walls of this Castle and sentry box. Castillo de Santa Catalina is a small 17th century fortress complex that was part of Cádiz and Spain's coastal defense. It has wonderful panoramic views of the Bay of Cádiz and San Sebastian Castle. It also has ocean vistas as it overlooks Caleta Beach, the only city beach within the historical part of Cádiz.

From London with love!!
Spent a few days in London last week exploring this beautiful city, despite working here for a many years it still amazes me how beautiful this city is.

Where was the last memorable place you experienced a sunset you will never forget? I will never forget sitting along this sea wall and experiencing this beautiful sunset along the walls of this Castle and sentry box. I rarely take pictures of the sunset, but when mother nature presents herself with a rare opportunity, I don't ever miss a beat.

It had been a dry May in south central Nebraska. Moisture if any did come but it was late evening and it was usually along the Nebraska Kansas border this year. Sometimes out of my range depending on the hours they developed.
@ this moment...It was another 60+ miles south and I still had time to catch up to this developing supercell.
The view to my west was captivating. I had to stop and get this. New Polarized lens, which I have NEVER used before was locked and loaded. New tripod to boot. A sunset with the perfect ambit light... Developing storm just to my southwest...
Might as well take advantage of the skyscape while she was talking to me...

A small and picturesque hamlet, surrounded by lush green hills, with the Teesta River flowing below it, Singhik is a great place that offers the most magnificent view of Mt. Khangchendzonga and Mt. Siniolchu.
Wednesday’s beautiful sunset at Burrow Beach with vivid crepuscular rays. A rare enough sky that doesn’t appear often here.

We had a moderate risk day for this area though the storms would stay high based and nothing but some good structure to photograph for this day.
Was definitely worth my time!

Late May 2018....
(South Central Nebraska)
It wasn't even ready to chase that day... Happy I was that I had pre-loaded my truck and had everything ready for that afternoons chase....
Just out of the gate... and on the east side of the Kearney City limits. There was a warning on this storm and we definitely had sheer that afternoon on a moderate risk day.
This was just the beginning of my quest for that afternoon.

Mersea Island in Essex never fails to give you glorious sunsets.
Sunset at Thanga campsite was simply magical. As soon as sun started going down, entire surrounding was engulfed in orange glow. Truly magical and a sight to behold.

Last Day of Fall 2016, as the Solstice was upon us. The colors of this sunset were Surreal! The clouds that evening were perfect for the sunset to crest its light. All the different shades were present, and I couldn't have asked for a better light and cloud mixture.
I started off the year with a fantastic sunset, I might as well get another incredible sunset in before the years end.
