Is there anything more peaceful then taking in the quiet beauty of the setting sun? As the sun descends below the horizon, creating romantic shades of red and orange across the sky, the world has a chance to breathe in and rejuvenate.
Caught this beautiful sunset last week looking over the River Blackwater in West Mersea in Essex.
You can never watch too many sunsets, this one is from Lake Garda, a great way to relax end the day with a nice glass of wine and reflect on good times!!

Final Shot of the Day. Only a few seconds of sunshine as I was heading back to Kearney. This striking sunset casts vibrant red and orange hues across the sky. Dark clouds and distant silhouettes of trees add a dramatic contrast.

I have been nursing a bad back injury that occurred years ago. Once you aggravate it is takes months of physical therapy and exercise to either go away or for it to go back to normal. The last few months of 2021 were painful. Its is the reason why you didn't get much photography from me in the end of 2021... With that being said.
I usually don't go quite with my photography during the off storm season. I'm a sucker for good light. Sunsets & Sunrises... when the light is right. Only reason I was out. Was to get my daughter back to College. Had dropped her off for and was heading back home.
I'm always with camera in hand in case of that special sky moment... I think this was one of them!

I just love watching the sun set over the Paris skyline. Here you can see the sun setting over the Pont Alexandre III bridge which spans the River Seine in Paris connecting the Champs-Élysées quarter with those of the Invalides and Eiffel Tower.

This wonderful countryside can be found in Iwerne Minster, Dorset, beautiful by day and even more stunning as the day ends

I had a choice that day to either follow these cells to the east or go after the newly developing cells to the south southwest. I'm glad I chose south...

I rarely take pictures of the sunset, but when mother nature presents herself with a rare opportunity, I don't ever miss a beat.
This mid September sunset had some phenomenal color. I wasn't going to miss this opportunity!

Aggressive late May supercell developing out in the northern plains of Kansas. Now this was creap'n about 30 mph to the east south east as I caught up to from the north via Hwy 24. Just to the north of Osborne Kansas.
Beautiful definition of this storm. Structure was what I was after that day. Oh, did I get some... and then some!

We had a moderate risk day for this area though the storms would stay high based and nothing but some good structure to photograph for this day.
At this moment I was heading north out of Miller Nebraska as I was heading to the Ansley & Broken Bow areas via Hwy 183...
