Aggressive late May supercell developing out in the northern plains of Kansas. Now this was creap'n about 30 mph to the east south east as I caught up to from the north via Hwy 24. Just to the north of Osborne Kansas.
Beautiful definition of this storm. Structure was what I was after that day. Oh, did I get some... and then some!

Sandhill Cranes are part the natural migration of these & many other types of birds that come through south central Nebraska this time of year.
They are Fickle & do not like humans getting close. This is the closest I've ever been able to get. I was lucky to get this final shot!

Most of you that have been following my weather adventures over the past few years... know, that I'm not all about the Tornado... I'm majestically drawn to the beauty of mother nature...
I had given up on the storms north of Broken Bow Nebraska as they continued on their way north northeast. I was heading back to Kearney and we did have a few weak cells just firing off to my west... Nice Nebraska Thunderheads... I had to stop frequently to get the best pics...

These storms that day were frustrating. High Based and not really producing anything photogenic. I finally got just south of a developing cell just west of Broken Bow and was following it north... a little eye candy was at hand...
