SUNSET - Ibis - Florida Everglades

Sunset at Burrow Beach on 1 June 2021. A small break on the horizon allowed the sun to peek through the bank of clouds.
I ran towards these trees when I seen the sun setting above the cloud and then persisted waiting for it to show on the low horizon. Glad I persevered!
Go to Burrow Beach so much yet always find a different composition.
This photo was taken at Thanga Campsite on Bali Pass Trek. Thanga campsite provides excellent view of Garhwal Himalayan peaks such as Swargarohini, Black Peak etc. in Bandarpunch range.
Tanah Lot means Land in The Sea, a perfectly fit name for its unique offshore settings. The silhouette of Pura Tanah Lot is one of the most popular iconic features of Bali. Imagine the image of a Balinese temple (pura) perched high on the rock, facing the wide open ocean.

Beautiful Structure with this cell. Luv' the teeth it was producing as was gaining strength. This is what I live for... Its one of the main reasons why I chase.
(The Bad)
Though at this time I didn't know that the stormcell to my northwest (which we cannot see here this is pointed southwest) was starting to merge with this cell. It would eventually overtake me, even moving due east...believe me when I say it was nasty... it was
Tornadic, strong, building, maturing... I sure was at the right place at the right time. (This doesn't usually happen eh) One cannot get these incredible close up shots... just that...up close and personal without being there!!!
@ This time... some of my best storm photography for 2018!

We had a moderate risk day for this area though the storms would stay high based and nothing but some good structure to photograph for this day.

Just to the east of Yanney Heritage Park ...
Last Day of Fall 2016, as the Solstice was upon us. The colors of this sunset were Surreal! The clouds that evening were perfect for the sunset to crest its light. All the different shades were present, and I couldn't have asked for a better light and cloud mixture.
I started off the year with a fantastic sunset, I might as well get another incredible sunset in before the years end.

I really liked the sunset along the Santa Rosa Sound last night. It was of the best I've witnessed in a while.

Where was the last memorable place you experienced a sunset you will never forget? I will never forget sitting along this sea wall and experiencing this beautiful sunset along the walls of this Castle and sentry box. Castillo de San Sebastian is a small 17th century fortress complex that was part of Cádiz and Spain's coastal defense. It has wonderful panoramic views of the Bay of Cádiz and Santa Catalina Castle. It also has ocean vistas as it overlooks Caleta Beach, the only city beach within the historical part of Cádiz.

Clontarf Garage based EV 12 basking in the evening sunshine at Howth Summit terminus, home to route 31 & peak time route 31B, which operated via Strand Road.
This is the terminus for routes 31 & 31B, but the start for those about to enjoy a cliff walk around Howth & the spectacular views around the rugged coastlibe of Howth peninsula.
Its better than listening to your partner, Dublin's Q102 radio station.

Well, I did take a long break off from Flickr. I've had some downtime over the past few months. Had Surgery, and it was bad and required. I have been on the mend.
Wanting to be physically healthy enough for the 2018 storm chasing season, I have recovered healthier than I have been in the past 10 years.
So something came over me just recently, as winter is now chaining over to spring here in Nebraska. I've had an itch to get out and do some photography.
So with not a cloud in the sky, lol, I decided to blow the dust of the camera case and catch this sunset. It had been cloudy for the past few days. That deep spring grey gloom. Cold winds etc. The sun finally peaked out @ sunset, and I couldn't resist the ambient light.
So your seeing something rare from me. I vary rarely post pure sunset images. I wanted to have a warm up before my first storm chase in 2018, which is just days away.

BTW: The birds you see in these images are the migration of the Sandhill Cranes . There are a few million of them here, this time of year, in their journey across Nebraska.

Loha Prasat, which means iron castle or iron monastery, is composed of five towers, of which the outer, middle and the center towers contain large iron spires. The 37 virtues that are required to reach enlightenment are signified by 37 golden spires. The 36-meter-high (118 ft) multi-tiered structure consists of 3 levels, the bottom one has 24 spires, the middle one 12 and the top level has 1 spire.
