I was snapping sunset pics the other evening and when I put them on my computer, I saw GREEN! Just dumb luck, but pretty cool.
A breathtaking sunset paints the sky with hues of orange, yellow, and purple. The sun dips below the horizon, casting a warm glow on the ocean waves. The sandy beach stretches out into the distance, inviting you to take a leisurely stroll along the shore. Ok..last sunset pic. I don't even have a title or poem or quote tonight. I just want to stare at some beautiful images in the Happy World of Flickr before getting back to my responsibilites. Happy Evening to everyone!
Took this pic of sunset on prestatyn beach while i was away on holday, i was hoping to get a few good sunset pics on the beach while i was away but the weather stopped me from doing this....
There are some scenes that for one reason or another, just reach out and grab you. Such was the case with this one as I was driving down the road. I was really struck by the texture in the clouds, the slight rippling of the water and the curvature of the bank. I had to quickly find a place to park and wade down into the canal just a bit and try to capture this before the morning light disappeared.
This photo has been released while I guided my car, on the freeway :-(

I went out this morning with a group of friends to take some photos and stopped off at a small park to check out sunrise. I was more interested in playing with a recently purchased lens than getting anything really good. All things considered, and even though the photo is kinda so-so, I think I like the lens.

The Story From last Summer
Went out Thursday taking sunset pics at Hunstanton got back late. Went to bed 12:30 am Friday set the alarm for 2:00am so had one and a half hours sleep. Left the house 2:30am drove 90 minutes to Southwold sunrise was due to be 4:34am. Got to Southwold 4:15 and didnt even need a jacket as it was 20 degrees at that time, set up the D90 and this is one of the pics. So glad i got up early for that amazing sky the most beautifull things in the world are the simple things and there is nothing better than watching the sunrise on a warm summers day (amazing).
This is a rework of an old shot i tried to stop the camera down and get the wave coming in to capture motion i think it worked.

Tried some more macro sunset pics tonight. this time using the tripod.
Not sure why but just wasn't able to replicate last nights composition.
Guess the suns alignment was just a bit different.
This was one of my last shots for the evening as the bugs were becoming really bad. I think they're becoming immune to deet.

Since all it did was rain today, I didn't have much to do. So, I revisited a few sunset photo's from one of my favorite places. I found one from about a week ago that I never processed. I'm glad I took another look. The sunset wasn't much to write home about but the mixture of the clouds and the light from the sunset was amazing.
Since it's been awhile since I've been across the street to the beach, I thought I'd take a run over this morning to try and catch the morning glow of sunrise on the pier and surrounding buildings. I also really like the way the sun hits and bounces off of all of the footprints.
you may be tired of the sunset pics...but if not otherwise occupied...I walk to see the sunset, every summer evening...and I carry the camera......
