The sun was so hot, the waterdrops so perfect, this leaf actually started to smoke. I stood there, amazed, jaw darn near hitting the floor, and then I said to the leaf, I says, "You shouldn't smoke, leaf. It's bad for your lungs."
And the leaf retorts, "But I have no lungs, stupid human."
And I was all like, "Well, it's bad for your... photo... uh... synthetic cells."
And the leaf just laughed, and blew a plume of smoke in my face, then kicked me in the shin.
Stupid leaves.
I processed this photograph in Adobe Lightroom using the Whipped Cream Lightroom Preset / Queen Pack which is available to get from The Bell Sisters website.
i'm grateful for every moment i'm fully present. when i feel the sun on my face, hear the wind through the grass, and ground myself in the earth. when i step away from my thoughts and fully experience life.
The sun looked so pretty coming through those yellow leaves - I couldn't resist! I used the Soulful Retro Love Action on this.
It was a cool fall morning as I waited for the sun to crest over the mountains in the distance. In a moment, the golden dawn light burst out and started the day. To make it perfect, a rooster began to crow at a distant farm.
Finally! I have been trying to upload some new pictures for like 2 days and for some reason they just WOULD NOT upload! it's so frustrating, but at least finally this one got through! Is anyone else having this problem?! Or is it just my computer?

It may not be Friday, but I couldn't resist some little radio flyer tassels and flare after an overcast day.

Caught these wild turkeys stomping by the creek. We were literally just 10 feet away. I tried to compose for this shot but was distracted by the sunlight above that tree. I decided to meter at the ground, hoping that there 's enough latitude with the film stock to handle the highlight. Knowing that my TTArtisan pancake lens wouldn't have much coating to resist the flare, I did not have any high hope. When the developed film came back, I was pleasantly surprised by this result.
