The 10th annual SLJ Leadership Summit: Fire it Up! Sparking Creativity and Motivating Students, was held in St. Paul MN from October 25-26, 2014, where school librarians, education leaders, tech innovators, authors, publishers, and vendor stakeholders convened to tackle the most pressing challenges and the greatest opportunities facing schools and school libraries. The NHS Values Summit brings together a diverse range of people and perspectives to create a greater understanding of how people’s differences, social status and cultural expectations can affect their experiences of health and care.
It challenges and inspires people to think about the role of ethical leadership in improving the health and wellbeing of local communities, staff and patients and how the NHS can increase the social value of its activities.
Welcoming representatives from health and social care, alongside more than 20 partners from the voluntary and community sector, this event (in Leeds, Yorkshire) was a template for future NHS Values Summits, which will be held twice a year in different locations across the country. Each event will explore a different theme relating to equality, health inequalities and human rights. The next gathering will take place in May 2013.
Out of my tent, a few paces to the field edge and this is my view to the slopes of Kirkfell and Great Gable, and just look at all those native stones that make up Wasdale's famous dry walls, they look so rounded and almost delicate, my guess is that most of them haven't come from the surrounding summits but have been washed in during the glacial retreat that carved out these valleys, but no matter what, Wasdale's walls are a man-made wonder, stuff the pretentious Brit Art tat of Damien Hurst and Tracey Emin, these walls are true art. We did our first Celebrity cruise aboard Summit to Bermuda.
We really liked the shopping area on the ship which contained several shops. Summit actually had an Apple store aboard. Prices were the same as on land based stores but here there was no sales tax.
At almost 2.5 million square feet or slightly more than 57 acres, this is Westmount's largest park. It is carefully preserved urban woodland, with pathways meandering throughout. Wild birds and animals make this their haven, finding natural habitats in this tiny corner of the big city. Westmount, Quebec.
