Just as bird photography is specialized subset of wildlife photography; hummingbird photography is a specialized subset of bird photography. I use a specialized set-up consisting of 6 flashes, radio triggers and receivers for the flashes, bird feeders, umbrellas, shades and backdrops. And most importantly I have hummingbirds… because I have 14 feeders and have been attracting them for about 10 years. The hummingbirds drink up to 2 gallons a day during migration. Just feeding these birds is a chore.

If you don't know what CG is then here is some info on it.

CG Artists create 2D and 3D assets used in developing video games and digitally animated films. A CG artist's work usually revolves around finding balance between artistic sensibilities and technical limitations while working within a development team.

CG artists are typically skilled at creating both 2D and 3D digital art, and often specialize in one or more subsets of content creation such as: hard surface modeling, organic modelling, concept art painting, architectural rendering, animation, and/or visual effects. If the CG artist is a technical artist, they will usually also have programming skills such as shader and script writing, character rigging, and/or skill in languages such as Python, MEL, C++, or C#.[2]

Spotted in Dharavi, one of the largest slum in the world, located in the heart of Mumbai. This place is nestled with multiple small-scale business avenues. This photograph is from the 'Potter's village' (Kumbharwada), a subset of this highly dense world. You may have seen a glimpse of this place in the decade old movie, 'Slumdog Millionaire'.

The residents here actually take offense from that movie.

Heliconia, derived from the Greek word helikonios, is a genus of about 100 to 200 species of flowering plants native to the tropical Americas and Pacific Ocean islands west to Indonesia. Many species of Heliconia are found in rainforests or tropical wet forests of these regions. Common names for the genus include lobster-claws, wild plantains or false bird-of-paradise because of their close similarity to the bird-of-paradise flowers (Strelitzia). Collectively, these plants are simply called Heliconias.

They range from 1 ½ to 15 feet tall. The simple leaves of these plants range from 6 inches to 10 feet. They are long, oblong, alternate, or growing opposite one another on non-woody petioles often longer than the leaf, often forming large clumps with age. Their flowers are produced on long, erect or drooping panicles, and consist of brightly colored waxy bracts with small true flowers peeping out. The growth habit of heliconias is similar to Canna, Strelitzia, and bananas, to which they are related. The flowers can be hues of reds, oranges, yellows, and greens. The plants typically flower during the wet season. The bracts protect the flowers; floral shape often limits pollination to a subset of hummingbirds.

Two generations of the former Reading electrification stand in the holding yard at Lansdale, Pennsylvania. To the left is a five-car Lineup of Blueliner cars, dating to the original electrification of Reading suburban service. Originally built in the early 1930’s, a subset of the original cars were rebuilt in the mid 1960’s and repainted in the blue scheme still seen on the second car. To the right are two pairs if Silverliner IV cars from the mid-70’s, one each of PC and Reading origins.

SU46-029, the last of its kind, and 55224 "Niedźwiadek", the excursion train from Laskowice Pomorskie to Bydgoszcz Główna. The train is about to pass the distant signal pointing to the station in Wierzchucin. Signal displayed - Ot3, at next signal proceed at 40km/h.

To see a working mechanical/semaphore distant signal is a real rarity in Poland, no doubt. There is a subset of them, which is even rarer though, and is to be seen in ex-Prussian areas exclusively nowadays. The presented kind of mechanical distant signal can foresee weather the signal at a station will be showing a 'full speed ahead' or 'proceed at 40km/h' sign, which is useful on lines with lots of traffic. I would estimate the number of this kind of distant signal to be at around 10 in Poland right now. The most interesting thing about the picture though, is that the signal is not only working but also showing the descibed signal. This happens extremely rarely given the amount of traffic on branchlines these days, where most trains are simply let through the station with no halt at the side track.

To our total shock, me and Jarek were the only people to witness this. It was a big surprise given that over a hundred people chased the train around Pomerania.

What US-285 in northern New Mexico lacked in vehicular traffic it made up for in four-legged drive models. Prior to this point I had only seen one Pronghorn doe along the backroads I was traveling but they became a regular distraction from north of Taos into Wyoming. This buck and his harem was a subset of a group of 10 that seemed curious about my intentions until they got bored and headed off over a rise.

One of the best subsets I’ve seen in quite a long time.

Leucism is a wide variety of conditions which result in the partial loss of pigmentation in an animal—which causes white, pale, or patchy coloration of the skin, hair, feathers, scales or cuticles, but not the eyes. It is occasionally spelled leukism.

'Leucism' is often used to describe the phenotype that results from defects in pigment cell differentiation and/or migration from the neural crest to skin, hair, or feathers during development. This results in either the entire surface (if all pigment cells fail to develop) or patches of body surface (if only a subset are defective) having a lack of cells that can make pigment.

Since all pigment cell-types differentiate from the same multipotent precursor cell-type, leucism can cause the reduction in all types of pigment. This is in contrast to albinism, for which leucism is often mistaken. Albinism results in the reduction of melanin production only, though the melanocyte (or melanophore) is still present. Thus in species that have other pigment cell-types, for example xanthophores, albinos are not entirely white, but instead display a pale yellow colour.

More common than a complete absence of pigment cells is localized or incomplete hypopigmentation, resulting in irregular patches of white on an animal that otherwise has normal colouring and patterning. This partial leucism is known as a "pied" or "piebald" effect; and the ratio of white to normal-coloured skin can vary considerably not only between generations, but between different offspring from the same parents, and even between members of the same litter.

92039 'Johann Strauss' passes Elvanfoot with 6m49, the 0808 Mossend to Carlisle engineer's train, conveying spent ballast.

The class 92s were designed as the locomotive to operate freight and sleeper trains through the Channel Tunnel. Despite their weight and Co-Co wheel arrangement, they were never at home on freight flows away from the tunnel.

EWS and latter DB Cargo used the class 92s on various freight flows, mostly but not exclusively on the West Coast route. However, their reliability was 'imperfect' and gradually their use waned.

GBRf refurbished a subset of the fleet for use on London to Scotland sleeper traffic and these continue to be used in 2025. For a time GBRf also used their class 92s on internodal workings but these have also faded away.
