In this image the helios is subverted to show a move in the direction of (unconventional) oil and away from renewables (this does of course problematically imply that BP were seriously embracing renewables in the past).
The ‘Broken Promises’ is obviously a twist on BP but also a nod to the fact that BP pulled out of the Tar Sands in the late 90’s. Top right shows the truth behind their image – the sticky stuff.
