This house at 2667 Empire Street was built originally for Arthur and Amelia Levy.

Architects were William D'Oyly Rochfort and E.J. Sankey.

This is a Califronia Mission Revival-style house with red tile roofs and roughcast stucco finish. This picture shows the house from Haultain Street, showing the south side of the house with porch, It occupies a spectacular vantage point overlooking the Haultain Valley.

Arthur Levy, the original owner, was a well known restauranter in early Victoria, operation Levy's Restaurant, which opened in the late 1870's and "never closed" until c.1914. He was also instrumental in the construction of Temple Emanu-El Synagogue
