Went down to a house under construction last night. It was pitch black which is great for light painting, but there were no rails on the stairs and some holes in the floor. Luckily, there were no ER visits due to this outing.

So today is the day that I will reveal who I am - lol!
For many reasons I have always kept my true identity a secret. I had some stalker things go on and I guess it kind of put the frighteners on me and I was extremely nervous about giving too much information away. But I have come to the decision that enough is enough and I am not going to hide anymore!
Anyway I have had a lot of advice on names for my photography business and it seems that the general consensus is that I should use my own name. Now I have had a lot of heartache about this because I really don't like my own name at all. I don't like my christian name nor my surname and so to use this as my name for my future business was a decision that I had to think long and hard about.
Anyway it's done now and the decision is made. If I manage to make a go of photography then I will be Tracey Barrow Photography.
Well there you have it - so if you know me as BB, iNiNa, Isabella, or Tracey feel free to continue with whatever you are used to!!
Oh and for any future stalkers - knock yourself out now you know the real me - mwahahahaha ;)
If you have got this far I will tell you a little bit about the photograph! This is the view opposite the shot from yesterday. These wooden poles are the beginnings of the stud walling to what will become my little home studio :)

The Uyghurs are a very welcoming Muslim Turkic ethnic group living in Eastern and Central Asia. About 7,2 millions of them live in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region at the western extremity of China. Uyghur means unity or alliance. Their origins seem to come back to the Ding Ling nomads, in the 3rd century BC. The ancestors of the Uyghurs mixed with Turkish nomad tribes, Hans, Mongolians and Tibetans. With the settlement of the population and the development of trade, commercial links with China developped on the Silk Road. At the end of the 10th century, Islam spread. The imperial governement of China then implemented a tight control over the region. This led to the unrest of Uqturpan in 1765. Rebellions and separatist revendications have never ceased since then, even after the region became autonomous in 1955. Islam used to have a real influence on economic, legal land educational affairs as well as on the matrimonial system. Nowadays religion has shrunk to the personal space.

Yet, the practice of their religion is tightly controlled by the Chinese government, Only officially recognized mosques are open to Uyghurs over the age of 18 only, Governement employees and state owned enterprises employees are not allowed to pratice their religion. Religious activities and imams are also under tight control, The latter are required to undergo « self-criticism sessions », Mollahs were also killed by the Chinese governement, Any criticism of its policies being seen as « separatism », it is treated as a fellony leading to death penalty, Religious symbols like beards and veils are prohibited in state institutions, including schools

The cased opening is in a former exterior wall, and the new header goes in tomorrow, before the exposed studs are removed. Note the electrical comes up through the floor. This house has those braces between every stud in every old wall. Hard to bring power down from the attic.

Cased opening joins sitting room to master suite....The door on the far left will be gone soon. Entry to the master suite will be through a sliding barn door off the new section of the kitchen. The old hallway (old bedroom door) can then have a closet for electronics and bulk supplies.

Difficult to totally remove plasterboard in this room as it is partially trapped behind the stud that divides the bathroom from the airing cupboard.
Will attempt to cut as straight an edge as possible to allow alignment of new plasterboard. Walls will be tiled so corner will not be exposed.

Will it be possible to reinforce the wall and fit a sink without the pedestal? That will require the 32mm waste to run in the wall.
