Playing around with scale in our photography! These are a pair of California roll stud earrings, about 1/2" in diameter. Yep, those are real chopsticks, and it was tough to hold them and photograph at the same time!
Small studio photograph, albumin print, sepia tone. In pencil on the back: "Dier / John / Johnny / God / J".
What can you tell me about his manner of dress? He looks well appointed but a bit unsure of himself. My scan did not catch it, but a support is sticking out from behind his left foot. At this time the subjects were given stands, much like a coat rack, to lean upon so they would not move during the long exposure necessary to get the photograph.
I place this at 1870.

Today I received my anything goes quilt from my STUD august partner Cathie! She sent some very nice extra goodies that I will take a picture tomorrow and post but I was anxious to get this up so everyone could see it! Thanks Cathie!
