this was one of a series photographed for a studio test.
then i drank it.
and it was good.

So this is how it turned out in the darkroom. The print is a lot sharper and not as flat, but you can at least see the highlights aren't as overpowering as before. It was really fun to be back in the darkroom. I spent 8 hours straight in there the other day. I look forward to going back tomorrow. ;]
Obviously if this had been a paid for shot the background would have been steamed and straight
also Tilly is unwell so is very pale had i been doing this for a client i would have added some colour to her face and lost the moles and freckles
but i prefer my kids to look natural
Two is not as easy as it looks for focus lol and my two have a huge size difference

A pair of limited edition Lakais. They were designed after the children's book with the same name as my title. The creators of the Lakai brand shoe happen to know the guy who is producing the film version. And the rest was history...
I was really trying to see what I could do with my limited light and make-shift studio. So I took my shoe off and took different shots with different white balances. This is the most accurate.
My first camera. Purchased very cheap with 3 lenses that I used for a couple of years. Used it during my travels in India and Asia. Great camera, robust and lightweight.
