The refurbishment of my first rental studio for tourists is finished now! The studio is located in Scheveningen, the beach resort of The Hague (Den Haag), a few minutes walk to the beach and promenade.
Studio Poseidon is on the 2nd floor, for 1-2 persons (40sqm). The studio has a double bed (140 x 200 cm); bathroom with shower, bath, sink and toilet; small kitchenette with refrigerator, coffee machine and cooker (2 plates); television (cable tv), wifi internet.

Had some old slides from the '70's and '80's scanned...
Here I am operating a TV camera on a pallet raised up on a forklift in the studio at WKYT-TV in Lexington, KY.
This photo appears to have been taken during a taping of a musical performance in the studio...I can see another set with what appear to be some other instruments in the background.
We created a lot of entertainment programming back in the '70's and '80's at WKYT...the McClain Family Band, the Gospel Singing Jubilee and several other music shows and specials. If I had to guess, I'd say that this photo was from 1983 or early '84 but it's hard to be sure.
I do know that I am operating an RCA TK-46 camera and that lens had both servo focus and zoom and had a "shot box" with programmable focal length buttons...fairly advanced for a mid-market studio in those days.
Also, note those moveable light battens and the rope/pulley/stage-weight system at the left for raising and lowering the battens. That was another advanced feature of that particular studio.
Draft v.02 slides for 'my studio experience'.
Needs more pix, much less text. Background color ain't my fav. Tweaks to come.
Initial audience = MITRE designers+engineers interested in getting an internal design studio going.

these thread holders are the best way to keep your thread organized....also, i always know what i have and don't just go out and buy because i don't know what i have...
I bought mine online from a canadian company called Great Notions...they are great.
This dresser holds some rubber stamps, paper ephemera, and assorted 3-D bits (keys, milk caps, glass baubles, etc.)
I set up some lights for a family shoot and was testing it on my buddy kev. Here i used two lights behind him and pointing at him with grids on for the backlighting.
I used one light to photo right with an umbrella for the main light and some white styrofoam sheets to photo left for fill.
I also used one light right behind him pointed at the background.
