One of my AS students made a giant burger and in a homage to Claes Oldenburg we put it on location in various places including the roof and the carpark. Sometimes being an art teacher really is fun.

one of my students works. they had their "construction project" from cardboard. you can see exploration of "repetition".

Hayashi Fumiko

(hä´yä´shē foo´mē´kō) ,1903-51, Japanese novelist and short-story writer. The daughter of an itinerant peddlar, Hayashi was raised in abject poverty. After finishing school, she moved to Tokyo to write, barely managing to support herself with a variety of menial jobs. Her first novel, Horoki [journal of wandering] (1928) records her early years of struggle. Subsequent works continued to address with compassion the despair of the poor and downtrodden and the suffering caused by war. Although Hayashi was briefly influenced by proletarian literature, her exploration of themes of social justice is grounded in optimism and a belief in the human will to survive.

She is so beautiful, and so humble, gotta love that.... I run weekend courses, and this was one of my students models.. never modelled before...I am hoping to use her more...Will do a test shot on Wed, where I do the makeup and symbolizer gets to photograph this young beauty ...;-)
