I love them. When I was in highschool I wore belts with rows and rows of studs until my dad banned them because they stratched up the kitchen chairs. No joke.

I went to the Calgary Zoo for the afternoon. I wanted to test out my new little point-and-shoot camera and compare similar photos taken recently with my old, half-working Canon S3 IS and very old Olympus C750 UZ. I found the Panasonic DMC-FZ18 a delightful camera to use!! It is light-weight, comfy and if I can use it, then anyone could. I kept it on Intelligent Auto to test out the camera and it seems to have worked reasonably well in various light conditions. I did use flash for some of my indoor shots.
When I was in the Conservatory, gazing into the tiny goldfish pond, I noticed this dead leaf floating towards me, covered with water droplets.
A modular skyscraper that is the home of “The Daily Stud”, which delivers the latest news through the city!
This is by far my biggest build and it was also the most challenging one. It also took extremely long from the first digital design to the final build, since I was unable to move a stud for almost 2 years, due to building a real house. ;-) Most of the design was actually finished almost 3 years ago, so quite a bit before LEGO released the Daily Bugle. When that happened I lost the motivation to really finish it, but I finally re-visited it some months ago to finally finish it.
The skyscraper has 8 floors, which are fully furnished. It sits on two standard baseplates, is 107cm high and weighs about 16,2kg. The build contains 22.801 pieces and consists of 9 modules. It can be easily integrated into existing city layouts following the modular standard.

The Letterpress Studio extends Oberlin's Special Collections to include opportunities to learn to compose text by hand using cold type, and to operate both cylinder and iron platen presses. Students can create their own original work while consciously making decisions about paper, impressions, layout, typography, color, illustrations and ornaments, format and special effects. Ed Vermue of Special Collections led a series of demonstrations using the letterpress.
