The current look. Running in the studs on the Schwalbe Winter Tires. Always no fun riding with low pressure on asphalt for 14 miles. But you only have to do it once.
I was really pleased to see these pretty little butterflies for the first time, this summer. My brother and nephew had seen some whilst out watching for nightjars, so on a weekend visit I was able to get out to see them in both evening and morning light. My nephew was baffled as to why his uncle would want to spend literally hours lying down on a heath taking pictures of a butterfly he'd already taken 200 previous images of - he has a point.
This was taken past 8 in the evening so I tried to play with the f-stop to try and get a decent shutter speed without ramping up the iso.
Some DIY studs/spigots I did while doing the DIY umbrella/flash brackets.

I made a short visit to Prees Heath as I do most years just to see the silver-studded blues. There were large numbers out and I was early so saw no one else looking at butterflies.
I think this is a female but the colouring on the upperside is unlike any other I have seen.
A little exercise about movement. I liked the effect of the standing guy in front of the moving machine. I needed several trials, but now I'm pleased with hte result, most of all for exposition and also because I worked without tripod.

I received this amazing miniquilt from lrmcdonald2000 in the STUD swap. I love the fabrics and colours, the embroidery stitching around the trees gives it a really nice texture.
Such a great addition to my sewing room :)
