The Struggle
R Keith Clontz and Leah Spitz collaborative project. I had the idea of using netting and rope to have an image that looked strong and powerful. I envisioned an image that elicits emotion and not just a pretty girl posing in the water. We all go through struggles in life and I wanted to show how difficult the struggle can be by portraying a girl (myself) trying to get untied from ropes. It may seem completely impossible to pull yourself out of the water, but someone with great strength can pull off the ropes and finally take a deep breath.

From this morning's walk. Again, I'm loving how crisp this lense is! Trying to stop it down a bit more, but this was hindered by the light.

As our eye and skills develop , i find my landscape are suffering , chasing a shot , light , my most treasured place in Brecon is epic without the reservoir full currently
A second version of a colour image taken earlier in the year. A tighter crop reduces the number to seven. Against the wind and the rain. Older children on their way home from school.
A person who has struggled in life will always be sensitive towards others, will value people and will be slightly more wise than someone who has never seen it.
