I took a fair few images of seed heads today but nothing really struck me. I have a certain look in mind but I just can't pull it off …. yet!
So this is a kinda 'make do' shot for now :)
RKO_1676. Winter has started and Kingfishers, here in The Netherlands, will start their annual struggle to survive.
Lakes and ditches may get frozen and people will enjoy iceskating. Kingfishers however fully depend on open water as they only eat fish!

You
Song by Candlebox
Lyrics
Oh, you
It's for you
Only you
It's for you
I'll never know, I'll never care, I'll never believe my people
I'll tell you what I say
I'll never lie, I'll never try, I'll never cry for you people
I'll push you, push away
As you lonely people
Keep on runnin' 'round my door
Yes, you lonely people
Keep on beggin', beg for more
And I'll cry for you, yes, I'll die for you
Pain in my heart it is real
And I'll tell you now how I feel inside
Feel in my heart, it's for you
It's for you
Only you
It's for you
I'll never try, I'll never die, I'll never push for you people
I'll tell you how I feel
I'll never lie, I'll never cry, I'll never try for you people
I'll tell you, yes, it's real
And you lonely people
Keep on passing time away
Yes, you lonely people
Keep on passing, pass away
And I'll cry for you, yes, I'll die for you
Pain in my heart it is real
And I'll tell you now how I feel inside
Feel in my heart it's for you
And I'll take everything as it comes my way
Pushin' your pain 'round my door
And I'll I cry for you as I die for you
Is this blood on my hands all for you?
You shiver and shudder, recovers your mother
You feel it take control
All alone
Feel alive
In your soul
Come around town, steal another dime, take another line
Won't you feel it blanket your soul out of mind
Come around town, steal another dime, do another crime
Won't you get it higher and higher, all through time
Come around town, steal another dime, don't you push your drugs in my face
Yes, I feel it, feeling fine
Don't you push your drugs in my face or I'm gonna put you in your place
Fuck you, I don't want it no more
And it's mine
Said this pain in my heart, it's all mine
Yes, it's mine
All alone
Oh, I don't want it no more
I don't want it no more
I don't want it no more
I don't want it no more
And it's mine
On my own
Yes, it's mine
All alone
As I cry for you, yes, I'll die for you
Pain in my heart, it is real
And I'll take everything as it comes my way
Feel in my heart it's for you
And I'll lie for you as I die for you
Pain in my heart, it is real
And I'll tell you now how I feel inside
Fuck you, it's for you
Life is a constant struggle. Some struggle to find a job; some to lose weight; while others struggling to understand the meaning of their lives. Whatever your struggle, fret not what is ahead, worry instead what is within; for the challenges in life aren't always the obstacles ahead of us but the attitude within.
"These paintings convey movement and emotion in response to both living and dried florals in the studio. Working from observation, I'm responding to what I see and feel - a musical mark in the sweep of a brush or a calligraphic scribble. Most importantly, they take me out of myself and I am able to let go. The struggles in life are echoed in the resolution of each piece - for me, a deep sense of satisfaction and peace.
All ticks live on blood and body fluids of vertebrates. Prey animals include: reptiles, birds and mammals such as rodents, ungulates, felines, canines, bats and primates, including humans.
I hope this sparrow survives the tick, poor little guy !
As life seems to be at the moment.
We'll get there. 👍
Photo by L.Fisher the younger. On her permitted exercise run, along the clifftop between Sheringham and Weybourne, N.Norfolk. The Sheringham coastwatch lookout hut atop Skelding Hill in the distance.
I struggled a lot to frame the deer into an open space, but he waited enough. A gentle horned friend.
It is very difficult to cope with this feeling, not knowing where you belong and not being able to internalize the place you live in is one of the heaviest burdens, it is not good for mental health, it is very difficult to struggle alone, but the nature and animals that surround me are always good companions for me.
If you want to see the statue up close, you can visit it from here. Who knows, maybe it will awaken completely different feelings in you.

Struggling for existence is the essences of life depicted here as we witness four people are struggling in the mid stream against the high tide for their smooth sailing. They remain calm and quite as they aware off their responsibility for safe voyage.

A tree struggles to survive in the Salt Creek area of Death Valley. I am not sure whether it is engaged in a war against the brush around it or if the brush is attempting to vanquish it. Non-native species have settled in areas with water sources and are choking out native species in Death Valley. I don't know which is which here but it appears this is an epic struggle for survival.
Happy Tree-mendous Tuesday!
The beauty of going to a new location is that you are never quite sure what you might get. This was my first time at Cannock Chase and I have to admit I found it a bit of a struggle. Arriving in the dark and not knowing the location is never a good recipe, shooting woodland is also something where you have to get your eye in. As with most things photography, light is everything. We had a brief moment when the sun came up and lit the haze ( i wouldn't call it mist) and in that moment everything changed.

CSX I198 heads south toward LaGrange, GA on A&WP Subdivision with a pair of YN2 CW44ACs (392 and 461).
For some reason, the train was moving very slowly through this area and just north of here. After reaching this location, which was the distant to the junction with the Lineville Subdivision, they began picking up speed a bit. I'm unsure what the issue was but it could've been a slow order or locomotive troubles. The B803 behind them had been running on approaches since catching up to I198 at Hogansville.
This young Brown Pelican did have a bit of a tussle with that large fish and struggled for quite some time before he/she was able to make it disappear. I’m sure there was a bit of a learning curve associated with swallowing a fish that large, but he finally managed to get it taken care of as he paddled off into the distance. I was busy trying to point the canoe in the right direction when he finally managed to dispatch the catch. He definitely went to sleep that night without wanting for anything. Photo taken on Horsepen Bayou. No need to comment on both photos.
Also a footnote. That is and old tree branch buried in the mud at the bottom of the scene.

A day when I was struggling for inspiration, and undecided what to take. There are so many features on the beach that you're never short of possibilities. I spotted this beautiful graceful curve of small sand ripples edging a lovely still pool.Undecided is by The Magic Numbers.
Amazingly, I did get a half decent image of a salmon struggling to go upstream in that river. Usually they keep their head under water and their fins are exposed. I only had my 24-100mm lens on me but I stayed low on a rock to try to get this angle. He swam fairly close to where I sat. It’s not tack sharp but it shows a bit of his skin on his head starting to deteriorate.
