Historic Jacob Kercher Pioneer Home – Circa 1808-1810
riverFront.jpgAs the City of Miamisburg looks to the future with plans to rebuild the Great Miami Riverfront, we have been given the opportunity to preserve the past through the relocation and renovation of the Historic Jacob Kercher Pioneer Home, circa 1808-1810. As fate would have it, the log home had been hidden under decades of "renovations", but was recently rediscovered, just in time to prevent it from being destroyed. With your financial help, we can restore the Kercher Log Cabin and create a living history for generations to come.

During the pandemic people have been gathering wood found in the woods to create structures. There was a child and parent inside as I passed.
Structure near Largs
This is said to be just a slipway but has a lot of similarities to a boom defence building.

NS16SE 12 1915 6266
Immediately S of a slipway 30m W of the gate lodge for Knock Castle (NS16SE 6) is a brick and concrete building with a flat roof. The building measures approximately 4m by 8m and is about 3.3m in height. It has four ventilators on the long side and two on the ends. The purpose to which this building was put is not known but it is almost certainly of military construction. At the N end a new rolling door has been fitted and its present use is possibly a garage.

The City Park is the largest urban park in Portugal, with an area of 83 hectares that stretch out as far as the Atlantic Ocean.It was designed by the landscape architect Sidónio Pardal and inaugurated in 1993 (1st phase) and finalized in 2002.
These are awesome flowers, complicated structure and wonderful colouring, and only flower in autumn, so I wait all year for these beauties to arrive

Every time that someone collects a course guide from the inside of the structure it leaves free a balloon with Frederick’s University logo on it.
