I had a stroke April 26, 2022. My right side wouldn’t move. What's worse I had aphasia. I lost most of my language skills.
I came home from the rehab hospital June 1. I still couldn't walk nor talk properly. Home therapists worked with me then.
I almost can walk, through wobbly. I keep leaving my walker behind me. I write slowly. I can read. I can understand what others say to me. Others don't understand me quite as well.
As I recover, caregivers assist me. We walk together. They drive me to I need be. They use my camera take pictures of my recovery.
Best of all, I'm beginning to use my phone's camera again. It takes two hands. My right hand has enough control to push the button about half the time. It's good be on Flickr again.

A very rare sight - a sign at a former petrol/ gas station, promoting "Two Stroke Service". Having owned at least one two stroke motorcycle continuously for 46 years, I can't recall ever having seen a sign like this previously. I assume that it dates back to a time when the two stroke oil was mixed in the petrol tank. When I had my BSA Bantam I had to use that method but it meant I had to carry a bottle of oil round with me all the time. Presumably a service station offering this, removed the need to do this. Most people think of two stroke motorcycles but there have been a few cars, too. Saab, Wartburg etc (I can’t think of any others but there must be some).
More recently manufactured bikes with two stroke engines have a separate oil tank and a pump mixes the oil with the fuel - but saying that, there aren't too many mainstream large capacity two stroke bikes being made now because the general idea is that they are “dirty/‘orrible/noisy/smelly/unreliable” (delete or tick/check as appropriate) things.
Not completely black and white, but almost. It's interesting how the clouds can take so much colour out of the world below them.

Saw this fully concentrated painter in Dyreparken, Denmark. The scent of pipe tobacco and the beautiful scenery gave quite a special atmosphere.

With a family day out to Lowther Castle planned and having just arrived, i duly checked what was running. To my surprise, the logs were running and pathed under the wires, even better they were running an hour late giving me the only loco photo of the day, so here in splendid scenery and sunny weather is Colas 70812 as it heads through the mighty Lowther Estate (some 72,000 acres in total) at Yanwath, Cumbria working 6J37 10:59 Carlisle Yard-Chirk Kronospan. 25/06/2018.

I shot my first swim meet last night. Swim meets are hard! This photo was certainly a lucky one. Unfortunately this swimmer was on the other team!

Being back over in Bondi Beach now - I get to spend more time around Bondi Icebergs which is the famous pool here.
Where Bronte Pool has soul, Icebergs has glamour, Bronte is beautiful, Icebergs is ridiculously pretty. Bronte shines during storms, early morning light , quiet reflection and Icebergs glimmers during the day and draws you in with her ridiculously pretty turquoises and colour.
You can hang over the pool from the club built around it and become entranced watching swimmers going up and down in the crystal sparkling water. Ms. Leica likes to go people fishing here and she always brings in a lovely catch of movement and depth .

A completely accidental photo -- snapped while fumbling through the desert, trying not to kick a cactus (again!), trying to find the perfect sunset spot. At first glance, I almost instantly deleted it...but the hazy out-of-focus disorderly conduct of this photo actually has a pretty interesting effect on this landscape! :) | McDowell Sonoran Preserve, AZ
