Always striving for that perfect picture I saw this bird under the feeder. I think it is a young Female and I have noticed the breast feathers darkening as the summer passes. She is very awear of me taking pics and giving me her best side.

We need peace even more than ever today. The awful divide in the world is making our lives even more dangerous. We need to learn and strive to come together in love and understanding, not go our separate ways in hatred!
Thank you for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
Being as human as everyone else I have a great deal to strive for and learn. It is easy to have a list of things to accomplish but not as easy to actually accomplish successfully completing that list and believe me I am still very much trying and it is no easy feat. My heart is always there, but sometimes my actions do not always present the best of me, so I have to go back and start again. I promise you that I have every good intention to be a
BETTER person.

Hardly what I expected; all I can liken it to is running to the Christmas tree to open your presents and having someone set them on fire. Thankfully, I have what matters - family, friends, and the opportunity to try harder, strive for more, and do better.
Keep onnnn truckin'

*Working Towards a Better World
When the power of love overcomes the love of power
the world will know peace. - Jimi Hendrix
Compassionate people are geniuses in the art of living, more necessary to the dignity, security, and joy of humanity than the discoverers of knowledge. - Albert Einstein
We've got this gift of love, but love is like a precious plant. You can't just accept it and leave it in the cupboard or just think it's going to get on by itself. You've got to keep watering it. You've got to really look after it and nurture it. - John Lennon
If we're destroying our trees and destroying our environment and hurting animals and hurting one another and all that stuff, there's got to be a very powerful energy to fight that. I think we need more love in the world. We need more kindness, more compassion, more joy, more laughter. I definitely want to contribute to that. - Ellen DeGeneres
If someone thinks that love and peace is a cliche that must have been left behind in the Sixties, that's his problem. Love and peace are eternal. - John Lennon
Love and compassion are necessities, not luxuries. Without them humanity cannot survive. - Dalai Lama
Thank you for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day! xo❤️
I could not resist releasing shutters when I saw that these children were trying to get across the steppingstones. The elder sister herself must be a little bit afraid to jump much less the younger brother. But he must imitate and even excel her.

Strive for balance? Do not strive,
simply do not resist the path. It is level
mostly
and when there's a knoll or valley, it serves a purpose.
Watch the water find its own level even when it swells and the tide strokes its hand over the glassy surface, pushing.
Strive for focus? No, only cultivate attention. Only notice, note, examine quietly with stillness.
Multi task? Although every moment holds many things simply be there.
Just be there,
only.

People strive all their lives to love and be loved, but the truth is, love hurts. The deeper the love, the deeper the sense of loss when it ends, for whatever reason.
My precious cat, Squeegee, is nearing the end of his life. Today, I'm bringing him to see Dr. Shroyer to determine if there is anything left that can be done to help him, or if I should put him to sleep. It's a decision I don't want to make, but will, if the vet says he thinks he's suffering. If not, I will try to let him pass on his own. It won't be long, either way, barring some miracle, which I have been hoping for, but which hasn't come. Honestly, I'm surprised he's made it this long. I am unbelievably grateful for the time I've had with him.
Many of you know the story of Squeegee. I took him in as a stray and about a year later, he almost died. I fought to save his life then, and every single day I've had with him has been precious to me. I have to admit, it's probably the only relationship I did right, in that I have really cherished him and appreciated him.
Squeeks repaid me by alerting me to impending migraines for years, so that I could stop them in time to be able to avoid excruciating pain and go to work. He was as much of a lifesaver for me as I was for him. Still, he couldn't prevent every migraine, and I can't keep him from getting old and dying. So one of these days- maybe today- I will lose him and it's going to hurt. I've already cried a million tears inside and ached knowing I would lose him. It's part of life, but it's the part I hate the most. Even knowing that love that strong MUST somehow be eternal, and that God will certainly reunite us eventually doesn't dull the pain of loss much. I love Squeeks like a person. Though I've loved all my pets, few have been this dear to me, and I doubt any ever will be again.
Please keep both of us in your prayers, and Barrymore, my other cat, too. More-More has known Squeegee his whole life and is very upset about things. I can tell he knows because if Squeegee doesn't eat, HE doesn't eat. When I cry, he looks depressed. He senses something is very wrong, and I know he's going to miss his brother. He doesn't like the new kittens at all, and I think he'll resent them even more once Squeegee is gone. Just pray I have the strength to do what I need to do. If he has to go down, I will be doing it by Monday.
Sorry for going on about this. I guess that's what we do when things mean this much to us.
1 Timothy 6:4-5 “He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and word-striving, out of which doth come envy, strife, evil-speakings, evil-surmisings, wranglings of men wholly corrupted in mind, and destitute of the truth, supposing the piety to be gain; depart from such.”
This reminds me of the woke cult and its social justice gospel. Its preachers use mental gymnastics to gnostically twist the meaning of words. Their meaning of words has an enlightened socialist meaning, while the word’s original meaning is for the normies—those who are not in the know, those who are not in the cult. The apostles of the woke zealously bully evangelize through activism.
These nerds say stupid things like “words are violence,” while in their hearts they crave their bloody communist revolution (they have murder in their hearts). They like to use the word genocide, which ironically describes their beloved communism. If you point out the failings of communism, they like to say: “communism has never been done right.” My reply: capitalism has never been done right. Indeed, they are too dull to understand that no human system will ever be perfect. Yet if their political ideology is really a religious theology, then I guess they can place their faith in their religion and strive for their heaven on earth (perfection). Their church is their university, where they learn about heaven (socialism) and hell (capitalism). Their socialist professors are their high priests.
Let’s be honest, Marx was a discussing pig. He had poor hygiene and hated to bath! He was a total mooch, a total loser! What a great role model!

Sings of spring
....and a sing of life from me
My burn out isn't over yet, but I thought that I'd better not fall too far behind in uploading my 365's.
This is Friday's picture, taken on a walk around the lake. I enjoy watching the colours of spring getting more and more visible as the snow melts.
Number 2 in this series of the Great Egret striving to reach the top spot on the snag. I was trying to focus on a group of Starlings when he flew up from below to take over the perch. I like him a lot better than the Starlings so I just kept the shutter pressed till the buffer filled up. no, I am not going to post all of those shots, but they would make a nice time lapse series. Have a great week end all
