It can only be expected in a world so demanding. Anyone with a boss or client strives to do his or her best according to what’s asked. We're criticized or completely humiliated. We continue to be punished when we don’t succumb to another’s excellence. Why do we keep going? At some point the psyche figures it will never be enough- trial after trial- and we still keep trying. If it’s our best with the only information we have, is the consequence of a job well done really worth all the humiliation? Maybe, but think of the most demeaning duty one could possibly perform. How much money would retrieve your humility after performing the most degrading duty? It can’t. There is always someone willing to perform the worst job in the world though.
Are we conditioned to tolerate how much we degrade ourselves? We can quit and many do, but does that fix it from happening again? Growth, a learned skill, money and/or the possibility of a promotion can sooth stress a little, but not consistently because sometimes you get NOTHING out of hard work. We’re all a little masochistic.

We all strive to improve over time, be it a personal goal or a photo of a subject. The photo on the left is my first photo of a Marbled Godwit taken in Winderemere Basin in Hamilton in 2017. The bird was too far away. I used a 2x converter on 500mm lens to maximize the reach. The bird was barely recognizable from its shape and pink at the base of its beaks. It made my life list then. The second photo in the middle of a Marbled Godwit was taken in Stayner Sewage Lagoon near Barrie on May 27, 2019. The bird was closer, and the photo was better; however, there's still plenty of room to improve. The photo on the extreme right was taken in Tommy Thompson Park in Toronto on Aug 27, 2019. This time I managed to get a lot better picture with clear identification of a Marbled Godwit. Now, the question is am I going to stop taking photos of a Marbled Godwit? Most likely not, if the opportunity for betterment is there, so will be I.
Even in winter one can find many motives to take a photo of. In post processing I played a bit with colours and texture to make it look less dull.
Auch im Winter kann man viele Motive für ein Foto finden. In der Nachbearbeitung habe ich etwas mit Farben und Textur gespielt um es weniger flau wirken zu lassen.

Look around,
At life all around,
People complaining,
People following,
Doing what they will,
People acting without thinking,
Quickly sinking into the world.
To live in a world,
Where people depend on others,
For their ideas,
Of not only what they wear,
But who they are,
This is a truly a scar,
On the face of truth,
And of freedom.
Some people are mindless,
Letting other choose for them,
What they think of this or that,
They get so sucked in,
There’s no coming back.
I have thoughts others don’t see,
I have emotions others don’t feel,
I see the sky and become enamored,
While others see it and are indifferent,
Humanity is fighting against itself,
We strive to be normal,
When normal is different.
So look around,
Where do you fall,
Are you in the normal,
Or in the different?

in the dimming light of an overcast evening, a man channels his strength and determination into a powerful swing. the motion, blurred and vigorous, captures the raw energy and anticipation of reaching the peak, the bell at the top. surrounded by the quiet ambiance of a near-empty courtyard in Poing, the scene is charged with a sense of personal challenge and the echo of triumph that awaits. this moment, frozen yet fluid, speaks to the timeless pursuit of surpassing limits and the sweet sound of victory that follows.

pay a fee
for a swing
the ring of bell - priceless

We strive and strain, bellow and believe, we learn, and everything we learn tells us the same thing: life is one great meaningful experience in a meaningless world. Brilliance has many parts, yet each part is incomplete.
