I spotted this unusual parrot chomping on the berries from my holly bush today.
Well, obviously, that's not a real parrot. In fact, it's a wire stripper.
For Macro Mondays this week with a theme of pareidolia, I imagined this would probably work as it looks bird like to me, a bit parrot looking.
I took a red berry off my holly shrub and installed it inside the beak of the so-called parrot.
I then organised a colourful background and managed to take a few macro images in the adorable bright winter sunshine we were blessed with today. 🌞

It's Monday which is always my favourite photography day of the week for my Project365 as I get to play Macro Monday... today's theme was 'contraption' and so I went for my wire strippers.
I've officially reached that age that when I hear people talking about strippers my natural thought process goes to wire or paint.

A plethora of hungry caterpillars making short work of a leaf of a young Betula Trinity College (Himalayan Birch). Thankfully Liz spotted them before they stripped more than a leaf or two.
She wasn't merciful!

The Ring-Necked Parakeets in Kensington Gardens have discovered that the seeds in the long pods on the catalpa trees near the Italian Garden are edible. They have been pulling the pods off the tree and opening them on the ground. They have totally stripped the tree.
