Niagara Falls Blvd. (between Niagara Falls and Buffalo, NY) some time in the late 1970s, probably. That used to be a fun cruise with miles of motels, and restaurants, and miniature golf and so forth, much of it dating back to the glory days of "auto-touring" and family-owned enterprise. There was a "Flamingo Motel" with a big pink flamingo sign, and the motel got sold and torn down and I remember driving with my sister once, looking for the big pink sign and us both realizing at the same time that it was now a car lot and the sign was probably still there, hidden under the sheets of freshly bolted down plywood, painted and proclaiming "Cars For Sale.
