The local photography club has a pixel wars competition where two members pick three topics each and then each has to take six new photos (you can't use previously taken ones) by the next meeting. As I found out it's challenging to get six themed photos completed (two per weekend seems to be the best approach) but it made me try things I would not have otherwise done and got me wanting to be a bit more creative. Well worth the effort.

Sheep & stone walls are everywhere in the Lake District. Much of this land was deeded to the National Trust from Beatrix Potter of Peter Rabbit fame. She even developed a special breed of Lake District sheep.

Streaming Now. Dread the Time. The opening track off the second CD (Todays Tomorrows Yesterday). We recorded this in 1995 at Academy Studio again (Paradise Lost, My Dying Bride, Anathema, Cradle of Filth, Ship of Fools, Blasphemer etc). We practiced in a barn of chicken sh1t and it was a wall of noise, when we came to put this down we surprised each other with what we had achieved. We were scruffy urchins but in my opinion this showed that we could actually play our instruments in a manner less associated with making a big noise and more with creating melody 😀. #melody #undergroundmetal #spotify #streaming #4ad #deathmetal

The Fairy Stream (Suoi Tien) is a little river that winds its way through bamboo forests, boulders and the dunes behind the village, in parts resembling a miniature version of the Grand Canyon. You can walk up via the sandy hills overlooking the oasis-like valley and return by wading in the waters.
