We went for a cycle and walk up the valley and spent time exploring the crystal clear but chilly mountain stream!

It was really nice talking with April and Memphis. They make such a good couple.

Don't know if this one works - especially if you do not quickly get what it is that is being photographed.

It is of a stream where it runs through overhanging trees that form a tunnel. But not a complete tunnel. Shafts of light pierce through occasionally. I

I used my LensBaby for the shot. It was very contrasty. had to use some fairly heavy post processing.

This is a shot of a beautiful little stream outside the Best Western hotel I stayed in while in Syracuse, NY. The shutter speed on this one was 1/8 of a second at 64 ISO.

On November 1st, the Lighthouse Learners traveled to Calumet Waterworks to study what lives in a stream. The Lighthouse Learners were led by Michelle Miller of Michigan Tech and although they didn't find many organisms, they did learn a great deal about ecosystems and cause and effect.
