NZ streams are gushing and flowing, over large boulders....the hallmarks of a new country. Large mountains were formed from earthquakes and volcanoes, and large boulders are present due to the first part of the cycle of erosion :)
Plenty of 'chi' in this country, the new country... In comparison, Australia, being the oldest country in the world, has not many mountains, and creeks with sandy beds that hardly flow... Water is mostly still...there is a different kind of energy here...
I went for a hike to see what Irene and Lee did to the woods behind the house. There's been so much rain that there were little streams all over where there had never been any before. I've walked through these woods since I was a little kid and I've never seen one at this spot before. I set the shutter for 10 seconds and ran up to sit on a rock so I could turn it into a ghostly self-portrait of sorts. The mosquitoes were awful!
Out taking some pictures, noticed it was getting kinda dark, thought I could do some long exposures, didn't come out too bad
