We managed to get the cementing done just before the wedding. This is how it looks when the stream is running ... (unfortunately it's only by garden hose at the moment!)
Essex Steam Train Connecticut has Coal-fired locomotives pulling beautifully restored railroad cars on a journey through Deep River and Chester. Shot converted to B&W, contrast and grain added.
I haven't seen it this low for a few years. There was several places in the woods where you could easily jump and/or walk over it.
Could this be the beginning of a dry summer?

This beautiful Poinciana plant, whose flower clusters on tall stalks are in varying stages of living and dying, is in the Garden of The University Of Arizona Medical Center (UAMC).

Update as of February 24th, 2014: During a series of Audiology Lab assessments it became clear that hearing aids could help me to hear better. And, hearing aids do not involve a surgical procedure. That was a viable option, and I went to Costco for a new top of the line set. They have been very effective in improving my quality of life...;))

Mostly cloudy skies for the majority of the day ahead of the next system. Did have some occasional blue sky and sun peak through. While their wasn't a lot of color there were some decent patterns to be found.

Shugaku-in Rikyu(Shugaku-in Detached Imperial Palace) was built by Emperor Gomizuno-o in 1629 as a retirement retreat. The most elevated garden (Kami no chaya) is best preserved. It surrounds a large pond (Yokuryuchi), Pond of the Bathing Dragon, that makes use of borrowed scenery, or shakkei, since it is located on the slope of a hillside at the foot of Mt. Hiei. It has a spectacular view of the surrounding hills and Kyoto below. The first view of the garden is usually from the Rinun-tei, or Cloud Touching Pavilion, from which one has an elevated view of the lake as well as the mountains beyond.
There was a small stream at cheddar gorge with lots of movement, so I decided to take a long exposure photograph of it, which creates an interesting effect. The main challenge I faced was taking a sharp photo without a tripod, so I had to have a few attempts before I was satisfied with the result. Overall, Cheddar Gorge is a breathtaking location, and the cheese is also delicious!
Another water shot. Me and my family was out for a walk when i saw this spot with streaming water. I liked the different colours in the stones so i choosed to give it a try.
Sur la ligne 5, entre les stations Austerlitz et Quai de la Rapée, le métro aérien enjambe de sa prothèse métallique tressée à même le ciel, une Seine colloïdale et flemmarde aux reflets verts de gris. L'espace d'un trop bref instant, le voyageur hébété, passif arpenteur de boyaux obscurs, se sent pousser des ailes mécaniques sous l'épais mille-feuilles de son vêtement d'automne.
Agacé, il cligne de ses paupières empoussiérées par les ombres, et ouvre sur les rives de béton mangées par les voies rapides, un iris dilaté et hésitant, rendu infirme par l'habitude.
