I don't normally see straw bales piled up in the corner of a field at this time of year, but judging by the recent tyre tracks they won't be there for much longer. We recently came across this scene near Weedon in the west of Northamptonshire. The area is part of the Northamptonshire Uplands.

I was reading this week's theme for the Macro mondays group, it was about single use items, I saw some examples and this one fit perfectly with what I like to do, so, I couldn't resist! I bought plastic straws so I could make this, so we'll have some of them for a while.....😄

A globally threatened bird thriving in this particular park in Singapore. This couple birds was bringing 2 fledglings looking for food and this was the first time shooting them in such close proximity

There are only 1,700 birds in the wild globally and 200 in Singapore.

A lovely show near one of the garden's entrances.

At our local farmers market, once a year they have a Herb Fest. Lots of local growers with everything from Basil to Tarragon. Its pretty crowded and a fun thing to go to. People come from all around to get herbs for the spring season. Great event. Who knows why but straw hats just started to pop out from everywhere to my eye. Sorry about the low resolution but it was a fun shot opportunity.
