Hard shot for a point and shoot in low light - but honestly, minus the bit of grain/noise, what you see is what I saw - for about 15 minutes last night.

Nothing symbolizes the Unites States of America more than the Stars & Stripes of the American Flag...and with the 241st birthday of the U.S.A. happening today (07/04/2017), what better photo to post that something with the red, white, & blue of Old Glory included. Happy 4th of July friends...U.S.A. U.S.A. U.S.A.!!

Softly the evening came. The sun from the western horizon like a magician extended his golden wand o'er the landscape. (Henry Wadsworth Longfellow)

Wish I could say she is skipping on a sand dune, but she is skipping on a controversial T-groin. What's a T-groin? "They look like giant hot dog buns jutting into the surf. They are designed to safeguard Upham Beach from erosion and protect the coastline condos from floods and hurricanes. But to an increasingly vocal group of critics, the tubes are ugly yellow bean bags that disrupt the pristine vista and make surfing next to impossible at this once-popular surfer spot." (Nicola W. "Happy Labor Day!" (for those who are in USA) :)

FOOD FOR THOUGHT: by Chuck Swindoll

"Cease all the striving. Relax. Be contented by the well of God, and drink deeply.

You are thirstier than you realize." :)

"Following the sixth day of creation, God deliberately stopped working.

It wasn't that there was nothing else He could have done. It certainly wasn't because He was exhausted. He hadn't run out of ideas or energy. He could easily have made more worlds, created an infinite number of other forms of life, and provided multiple millions more galaxies beyond what He did.

But He didn't. He stopped. He spent an entire day resting. He marked off this one day as special. Like none other. If I read this correctly, it seems that He made the day on which He rested a “priority” period of time. Consider making rest a priority....this includes:

~A good night’s rest on a regular basis

~A full day’s rest at least once a week (no, I’m not kidding)

~Moments of rest snatched here and there during the week

~Vacation times of rest for the refreshment and repair of both body and soul

These methods of getting rest help release us from the fierce grip of intense stress brought on by the daily grind.

Here's an old saying.....“I’d rather burn out than rust out.” What kind of choice is that? Either way you’re “out”!

Let me urge you to change your routine, my friend. If it's the case, blow the dust of boredom off your schedule. Shake yourself loose, and get a taste of fresh life. And if you already have...Bravo! But if you need several suggestions for rest and leisure, here are a few for you:

Begin jogging or cycling and/or a full-on exercise program.

Read some fiction for a change . . . or a great biography.

Get some music for your MP3 player, and lie on your back, drinking in the sounds.

Dig and plant a small garden, and watch God cooperate with your efforts.

Start watching a few sunrises and sunsets each month.

I’m not just writing about resting. In fact, I’m taking the next few weeks of vacation to practice what I preach." (Written by Chuck Swindoll)

“Rest and peace should not be left until you're deceased." LOL :)

Have a great day everyone! Enjoy! :)

As the sun sets into the Gulf of Mexico at St. Pete Beach, left behind sand castles await the incoming tide and slow 'melt' back into the beach. Day in and day out, this cycle repeats itself over and over...the wonderful interaction of people and nature, the ultimate relationship of God's creations!

“Voted 8th best Waterfront Restaurant in all of Florida” 😃

Saw a sign with that written on it last year, about 15 ft. from this very spot. Always thought it was pretty funny. Most places would just say “Top 10”, but they thought 8 was pretty good.

I really like all the color here, but I’m not comfortable with something in it. I spent a long time trying to level it out and never got to an angle that I felt comfortable with. Oh well.

30 degrees, first days of 2018. No jacket, no shoes.... Totally worth the shot

The Amazing Annoying Propeller Man can also be Viewed On Black Clap Clap

Every late afternoon when we were on the St. Pete Beach in Florida a few weeks ago, this annoying guy would show up just as the sun was getting ready to set spectacularly in the Gulf of Mexico! ! He basically had what looked like a large fan attached to a seat, which was also attached to a large red hang glider! In his mind I guess, it was more important that everyone looked at him instead of the setting sun, so he would go buzzing (loudly) up and down the beach, just over the heads of all the people, and then dissapear to who knows where as soon as the sun set!

Thank you so much for all comments, Awards, Faves, Invites, and notes!

"It is better to keep a friend from falling than to have to help him up" ....How Refreshing!

Like these Palm Trees...."Standin' Tall Together!"

( I had to think about that for a minute, but it makes me want to be more aware of what is going on with my friends and to be available for them "sooner" than "later"....both are a breath of fresh air I believe and welcomed at either point, but it seems clear which choice is best....just some food for thought : )

"Therefore encourage one another and build up one another, just as you also are doing."

And THANK YOU for all your encouragement just like the verse says above! Have a great week! I feel so blessed to be flickr friends with you...you are awesome....in so MANY ways....your photography, your words, your humor, your kindness....You light up my life! Thank you! May you really enjoy your week!

p.s. Thank you for your patience....I am catching up...and I will catch up! : ) My Fall is always so very full, but I am not willing to give you all up...you are worth the time...and my heart is hooked : ) ...so if you will bear with me, i will press on as I can : )

Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord. See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many.

[Hebrews 12:14-15 NIV]

5 THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW:

1. Like it or not, we are ALL sinners: As the Scriptures say, “No one is righteous—not even one. No one is truly wise; no one is seeking God. All have turned away; all have become useless. No one does good, not a single one.” (Romans 3:10-12 NLT)

2. The punishment for sin is death: When Adam sinned, sin entered the world. Adam’s sin brought death, so death spread to everyone, for everyone sinned. (Romans 5:12 NLT)

3. Jesus is our only hope: But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. (Romans 5:8 NLT) For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 6:23 NLT)

4. SALVATION is by GRACE through FAITH in JESUS: God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. (Ephesians 2:8-10 NLT)

5. Accept Jesus and receive eternal life: If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (Romans 10:9 NLT) But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. (John 1:12 NLT) And this is what God has testified: He has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have God’s Son does not have life. (1 John 5:11-12 NLT)

Read the Bible for yourself. Allow the Lord to speak to you through his Word. YOUR ETERNITY IS AT STAKE!
