For a cool $450 you can get a pretty nice room at the fabulous Don Cesar Resort on St.Pete beach.Built by the legendary Thomas Rowe in 1928,it was nicknamed the "Pink Lady". It became a military hospital during World War two and fell into decrepit condition by the late '60s and was nearly razed.It is now bigger and better than before, a real showcase of St. Petersburg...

I was playing around with my new toy. A 9 stop ND filter. I have to play with it some more, it is a little more difficult than I thought. This photo got some help from Lightroom.

A Black Skimmer glides in front of a crashing wave.

It’s all about the fish.

The clouds make it look like the lens distorted the image, but that's just the way they darken near the horizon and dissipate closer to shore.

St Pete Beach Black Skimmers are having a good year with chicks. Unlike last year which was a disaster.
