The biggest St. Patrick’s Day celebration in the Lowcountry on Saturday, March 12th in Park Circle of North Charleston: The 13th Annual “St. Paddy’s Day Block Party & Parade”

I was hoping to catch a shift change at St. Pat's, so I stuck around for awhile. After about 30 minutes, this guy does some excellent Nap-of-the-Earth flying, barely clearing the trees, and flies 20 feet over my head. Mom* flies out to meet him, they have a little dance over the vacant field, and then this guy flies into the nest and Mom flies off to the west.

* I have to admit that at this point I can't distinguish Mom from Dad. I'll have to talk to Ralph about marking one of them.

These things seem so cute before St. Patrick’s Day and then afterwards they just seem silly. I went back to work today after more than a week off and I remembered how little I enjoy credit cards, banking and compliance. It’s a living, I guess.

If you notice white spots on the photographs they are in fact snow flakes. I don't normally use flash but I had to use fill-flash today but due to a lack of experience I did not realise that some light would be reflected by the snowflakes.
