Back to Sorting Junk
Julie went to work, I went to the storage unit to continue going through boxes to find pictures and letters to my Mom and any other thing that might be of value. I took two loads of trash back to our dumpster and when I saw Ryan he let me put another load in the dumpster at the U-Haul lot.
When I picked Julie up for work we met the rest of the 4 Finger Shot bands and wives at Rooster's on West Broad before we went to Ten Mile Inn for Shotgun's goodbye get together. We went home after Ten Mile Inn but the other guys went to see Kodebreaker at Bottoms Up. It was good to see Ken and we talked a little about our set list but decided we would get together next week to talk in depth about song selection and band direction.

An example of why people should buy stuff with exacting specifications. The proportions are way off, the doors and the frameworks have been made using different materials, and the shelving has been modified to house the TV. Yuck!
The storage unit for an ancient CP/M computer, taken from a VHS film I made in 1991. It had an 8" harddrive and an 8" floppy drive.
The CP/M computer itself was sort of interresting. It was intended as a small office computer with as I recall 8 serial interfaces and at least two Z80 CPUs. The make of the computer could have been "Data Point".
Wayang references the traditional shadow puppet theater performances throughout Indonesia and inspired the design of these Wayang Puppet sculptures. Sculpted from Albasia wood and seasoned with colorful, intricate Batik details, the Wayang puppets are creative works of imaginative tradition. A beautiful addition to ones collection of global cultural objects.

Clio organized her makeup into both bathrooms using some conveniently stackable storage units that she had been gradually collecting. They're labeled and everything. Typically Clio switches between the bathrooms twice while doing makeup, because its spread across two bathrooms.
This is our larger bathroom, and makeup-wise it's for everything except eyes. Basically the middle column is done from top to bottom, then go to the other bathroom for eyes, then come back and select lip stuff from the right column. The left column is used for more miscellaneous stuff.

Yet another Landmark in the Process of being demolished, soon to be gone forever. These are in the Saltley area of Birmingham, close to Spaghetti Junction, M6 motorway.
This is a piece of furniture I designed and made when I was a 3rd year student of design - about 1977.
It stands about 1.7m high and is made using cherry and wenge veneers.
I was studying jewelry design and this was a supporting subject

On June 27, one of the drivers from PODS arrived to pick up our 16-foot storage container, which would soon be shipped to a storage facility outside Austin. I found the process and equipment fascinating, so I snapped a series of photos through our den window as the unit was lifted with a wheeled metal frame and placed on the back of a flatbed truck. Here, the unit rests on the back the flatbed truck before beginning its long journey to Austin...
