Macro Mondays 'bottle cap' theme.
As frequently happens, I began the week not having any idea what to photograph for the theme, and ended up with a few images to choose from. After much dithering, this one won.
This photo shows part of a glass stopper, the image measures a total of 2" square .
Letting off passengers at Water Orton, 220026 makes a rare appearance on 1K23 Birmingham New Street to Leicester.

Today we had to drive West to get out of a minor snowsquall and into clear skies. That brought us to this place, where I had a chance to try out a Lee Big Stopper. It's terrific in slowing down the camera shutter - even on such a bright day. I'm looking forward to trying it out with other scenes as well.
A little off-piste, Crewe diesel depot's 47321 seen lending its hp to 1T24 1150 Perth to Glasgow Queen Street stopping service passing the closed station at Blackford. Little in the way of heating though; good job it was a fine spring day.

I managed to pop by Llyn Padarn again today on the way from the Fairy Glen to Llandudno, and again I wasn't left wanting. It's such a peaceful location to shoot. Thanks for looking....
Over the years I seem to have acquired several glass carafes.
This is the stopper of one that I very rarely use but this last week filled for a lunch with our daughter. The glass caught the colour of the brass scale pan also on the worktop.
Included in 'Sliders Sunday' on the basis that I had to slide the carafe along the worktop before I was happy with the colouring and the removal of other reflections. Post-processed on the basis this wasn't my first attempt.

The color green represents envy and jealousy. The phrase "green with envy" is a fairly common saying that is said to come from Shakespeare's metaphorical use of color in both Othello and The Merchant of Venice. In Othello, Iago uses "green-eyed monster" to describe the jealousy that threatens to drive Othello mad.

Sunday morning on the ELR Autumn Steam Gala at Summerseat Station. This was the second service out of Bury but the first to stop at the intermediate stations. Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway's Class 23 No. 752 running in BR livery as 51456 steaming away from the long-standing speed restriction prior to the station.

22 th april bottle cap theme
I have tried to capture some reflected colours in the cut glass , my best success was taking the bottle out side , and using a black background , all the light is natural sunlight .
