I know I haven't been so active on here lately, but I've been working really hard and will post my efforts very soon!
Here's a little something I made in the meantime to celebrate the end of my three years at Dawson!
This is my stop motion animation I did for my ART 119 class. It is made from a series of photos put together in Flash and then exported into a QuickTime format.
This is 321 images in total run at 8 fps.
The effect you see is 1.3 sec exposures, which make moving objects, like cars/buses and people, seem see thru.

I made a video of all the stopmotions I have made so far. Well, there are probially more, somewhere. They're not in order or in a story of any kind.. But I thoguht the song fit.. and I hope you like it! It's kind of slow and choppy on flickr! So, it's better really! And just to let you know, I have no tripods or anything, I use boxes or set it on the floor.

Sorry the quality is such crap, I needed to make it that small to submit it to my class. I'm fairly proud though. My back hurts, but I'm content. :)

Those beautiful feelings of love. The calm happiness with our true love. I care for sweet music. I care for who people are inside. I care about goals and dreams.
I beleive that this earth is made for us to realize, materialistic items are not real. The only real things are feelings and our souls. We are created to have feelings and understand eachother. We are not created to live up the party life or the rich life that doesnt really exist. We are created to learn and grow through our actions and our experiences. No ones life is the same, we are all created differently. But we all have the same purpose. We may fall down, we may sink, we may hurt, we may lose. But we also grow stronger and we grow wiser. Nothing is truely impossible, its all in our mind. To figure out what is important and how to treat others. To love god. We are given life, liberty and the pursuet of happiness. Our hearts and minds guide us and we will live on, we will live happier if we all realized what is truely real and what is not.

I know its not completely a "self-portrait" if my cousin Catie is in this, but I'm allowed to bend the rules a little, right? :)
So, today I went to Target and bought rainboots and millions of bubble wands. That led to me taking a stop-motion in the rain with bubbles and my cousin :)
i know it's not even august but i wanted a reason to do this lame "stop motion".
made this within a few hours, using mahjong paper, a4 coloured papers, blutack, sweat + patience + laziness. ahahaha macam taik hasil dia. sorry jang!

ive been having very awful sleep lately

Goodnight Molly made it into the 2011 Stop Motion Magazine Film Festival!
Now it looks like it's time to get my act together and polish her up! (though I think they will present her as-is). Talk about motivation, who knows how many people will see her now! And on the big screen!

Othrug is coming! Here's a teaser for my new short film. This time, I'm taking you into a fantasy world. The action begins in the orc village of Arganvlagh in the Nugh-Mefg desert. You may know it from my LEGO MOCs. Othrug is an honorable warrior living by ancient traditions. Fate will lead him on a journey through mysterious lands filled with danger.
The full film runs 5 minutes and 47 seconds. It was shot entirely using classic stop-motion techniques. Several thousand photos were taken, which, when played back at 24 frames per second, create a stunning stop-motion animation. There's no AI and no computer-generated imagery. Everything is analog, real, and built with LEGO bricks.
Production took about two months, and it's the first film I've made in a long time purely for myself. Not for a competition. Not for a client. Just for the joy of creating! After years of working with The LEGO Group and Universal Pictures, returning to a personal project like this has been incredibly refreshing. I'm genuinely excited about what I've created, and I consider it the best film I've ever made :)
