This is not the best milkyway picture ever taken but it was nice to stop for few minutes and enjoy little moment of silence. Nights are getting close, it was -3 when I left, this is why my hands were so cold...
Got this picture right outside a bus stop in Arlington, VA. Got some LE light trails from two buses and other various automobiles at night.
I could have zoomed in on this but I didn't... eehhh. Oh well. : ) I really like the shadowed background and the sunlit stop sign.
Long exposure drive-by shooting (at highway speeds) of a train traveling the opposite direction. Not exactly ICM, but the Camera was Intentionally held still in a speeding Moving car :-) Near Magnolia, TX.

iPhone image taken out the window of an airplane which had just landed at Newcastle, England after a pretty bumpy ride across the Irish sea. The lovely bead like droplets on the window caught my eye, and I looked to see could I frame an interesting image. The strong yellow Stop sign, and the diagonal added extra interest in the composition. I used the native camera on the iPhone 6 plus and processed with Snapseed, Mextures (which I only recently discovered through browsing images on iPhoneography central) and PhotoToaster.
This young lady with pink hat held us for 14 minutes on a stretch of road works south of Kaikoura. It was badly damaged by earthquakes 2 years ago and recent storms. Taken from the front passenger seat but we didn't stop for a photo :)
Sono adirata, anzi arrabbiata!!
non mi piace per niente che dopo la sterilizzazione delle gattine randagie venga loro mozzato un pezzo di orecchio! :((((

Is it an impossible lesson to learn? War only achieves violence, hate, pain, death, loss, mass destruction, lack of health and welfare provision, destruction of our ecosystem, climate and environment disruption, large scale famine and total lack of social order. Is this really what we want for our children? Would it not be better to reach out and find mutual solutions as difficult as that is, surely it is the better way to go!!! We all belong to humanity and share the same desire for peace, we can and must come together and work together not against one another. We are stronger together and when we look out for each other our lives are better and we are happier! Come on my Flickr friends, let's promote peace it is the only way to live!

The Henry Lawson Bus Stop.
Henry Lawson Avenue.
McMahons Point, Sydney.
Photographed last night at dusk.
Sunday 24th September, 2023.
So yesterday, after finishing work at Wahroonga, I drove down the Pacific Highway to North Sydney. Amazingly, I managed to get parking just near the Commodore Hotel along Blues Point Road. After the requisite coffee at Piato Cafe, I walked down to the harbour and grabbed some sunset, dusk and night-time photos from different spots around McMahons Point.

"The dandelion does not stop blooming because it is told it is a weed. It says 'One day, they'll be making wishes upon me'".
Dandelions are often considered weeds, but they can also symbolize hope, strength, and transformation. People blow on dandelion seeds to make wishes, and some believe that the seeds carry thoughts and dreams to loved ones. Never stop blooming♥

Sometimes the most scenic roads in life are the detours you didn't mean to make.
Dave and I lazing on his 1966 Chevelle. We stopped to look at this great view!

I was forced to suspend my bike ride for a while because of a shower, and I sheltered under the porch of the garage of a building in Sainte-Gemmes-sur-Loire, providentially installed in the right place. I discovered that the Praying Mantis conscientiously learn the rules of the road, like us: it had stopped just before the "STOP" sign and carefully observed the situation before restarting, like me. Or was it sending a message?
Yes! At last the rain has stopped here in Aberdeenshire. Many roads are still impassable - fields are like lakes - and some roads and bridges have been damaged or washed away. Many homes flooded and and power cuts too. The rain has changed to a deep freeze tonight, with ice and a promise of snow to come. It is an 'interesting' start to the year!. We have surpassed the highest ever recorded rainfall for the whole month ... I wonder what delights are still in store!

The chrysanthemum shot was taken last March, and the raindrops are more elegant than the pounding soaking that has marked this month ;o)
I thought it was interesting in having a flattened effect where foreground and background are roughly equal in visual impact.
