A katydid stopped for a rest on my front door. This is SOOC except for some minimal cropping. He stayed on the door for at least 20 minutes while people went in and out of the door at least three times.

A very busy, animated and camouflaged male Eastern Towhee foraging in my rear-yard on a dark and rainy afternoon. It was with a large flock of Goldfinches attracted to my bird feeder.
A common woodlands migrant and summer resident. Very rare sighting in a neighborhood setting.

Mammatus clouds/storm at sunset, high plains of northeast New Mexico. Shot pretty quickly after pulling off the paved highway and onto a gravel crossroad. The raindrops were already starting to fall - cold and heavy. I stepped out of my vehicle, took this shot, and I bailed!
