Our neighbor keeps some feral cats (I think the cats help keep the rodents away from our homes so I like them) and also feeds the pigeons. I think it's funny that this predator-prey team is sharing the stoop.
I think that this is actually my favorite photo that I've ever taken. The attention and care that this child was putting into taking her mom's duties (in her mom's shoes), was just too much for words. Mind you, this child couldn't have been far over 3, and I wish I could show you the smile she wore on her face.
