This decorative stool is sturdy and light. The seat measures 10 inches from the ground. The seat measures 10 inches tall and 15 inches wide. It required approximately 7 hours to complete this item.
I gave this stool a new look with a fresh coat of "Green Apple" paint. I plan to find some non-traditional plant containers (such as old tins and colanders) to adorn it.
so this was NOT the idea for 365 days. i was trying to do a little photoshop project where it looks like i am levitating. i didn't have the pose down, here i am just wondering if my 50 cent thrift store table will hold. i was struggling with focus, the dog toy that i used to mark my focus area was of course stolen away. and mosquitos were biting. i will have to try again.

Can City
Can City is a collection of aluminium structures made from discarded drink cans collected from the streets of São Paulo.
A mobile foundry, designed from salvaged materials, is used to melt the cans, using vegetable oil collected from local cafes as fuel. Moulds for the molten metal are also made from found objects.
The project is inspired by Brazil's informal waste collectors, or catadores, who collect 80% of the city's recyclable waste.

We all know waste is a big problem. So how are we going to fix it?
A new generation of designers is rethinking our relationship to everyday things. From fashion to food, electronics to construction, even packaging - finding the lost value in our trash and imagining a future of clean materials and a circular economy could point the way out of the Waste Age.
Explore major new exhibits that capture the devastating impact of waste including a large-scale art installation by Ibrahim Mahama made from e-waste in Ghana.
The exhibition showcases some of the visionary designers who are reinventing our relationship with waste, including Formafantasma, Stella McCartney, The Ellen MacArthur Foundation, Lacaton & Vassal, Fernando Laposse, Bethany Williams, Phoebe English and Natsai Audrey Chieza.
'We must face the problem of waste – we can no longer ignore what happens to things when we get rid of them. Instead of thinking of objects as things that have an end life, they can have many lives. This is not just an exhibition it is a campaign, and we all have an active part in our future.' Gemma Curtin, Curator.
