The design of the Copper Cone Bar Stool and Brass Cone Bar Stool was inspired by furnishings of the Art Deco period. Art Deco is an influential visual arts design style that first appeared in France just before World War I and began flourishing internationally from the 1920s thru the 40s. It took its name from the Exposition Internationale des Arts Décoratifs et Industriels Modernes (International Exposition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts) held in Paris in 1925. It is an eclectic style that combines traditional craft motifs with Machine Age imagery and materials. The style is often characterized by rich colors and bold geometric shapes. The Art Deco movement flourished during the interwar years when rapid industrialization was transforming culture. One of its major attributes was an embrace of technology. It has been defined as an assertively modern style that emphasizes symmetry rather than asymmetry, and the rectilinear rather than the curvilinear. During its heyday, Art Deco represented luxury, glamour, exuberance, and faith in social and technological progress. The Copper Cone Bar Stool and Brass Cone Bar Stool were designed for upscale homes, restaurants, cafes, brasseries, wine cellars, and bars. With their European style understated elegance, they make exceptional bar stools for the game room, man cave, or home bar, especially when used with one of our freestanding bars or bar height tables. Constructed of robust (43 mils) copper or brass sheet, these bar stools are also available as counter stools. The copper or brass sheet is lightly distressed and antiqued for a mellow aged look. A brass footrest adds that special accent which sets these exquisite bar stools apart from the average. Nylon glides are provided which will not scratch fine flooring. The cushion is upholstered in COM or COL. With 8-way hand-tied springs, it will not sag even after decades of use. The metal plinth and seat frame are available in a variety of finishes. The Copper Cone Bar Stool and Brass Cone Bar Stool were designed by Shah Gilani, ASFD. Custom sizing is available.
Waiting for a number 14 bus. Southgate demolition. Hand made stools - mainly for the Group of the easily amused...
Advantages to city life: Every now and then, you absolutely need a moment's rest. There's no getting around it. And on rare occasion, the city will offer you a stool. Go on, take a moment, rest your weary feet. There is time for a breath or two before you hit the streets again.
(Note: I do not live in a city, and am over 1,000 miles from this particular stool.)
This stool is modeled after one I saw at the shaker village at Pleasant Hills Ky. This is the first one I made and I didn't like it all that much (the bevel doesn't look right on lower stretcher). It now lives in Arizona with Heidi..
The door of a classroom at our school propped open by one of the students' stools. Those things are severely uncomfortable.
I welcome and would like to encourage any comments and suggestions about my photography as they are the only way i will improve.

Renaud Dancie, a french creator is hand-making these classy stools and other home decors with reclaimed wood from the french "Landes" forest. Not very expensive for a hand made and custom piece of furniture (from 60 euros).

This long stool located in a public park at the end of Temple Street. Made out of marble, obvious intention for long lasting use. They have some sort of decorative legs and a little separation bar in the middle.
This is a stool for my new VW camper. I was driving down the road when I seen it in this yard with a yard full of garbage!!! What a find. I have been looking for one for a few days. But could not bring myself to spend the $100 to buy one.
Straw patterned plastic stool has not been kept in top condition as its' legs are covered in dirt and grime. The stool must have lived much of its life as outdoor seating for this restaurant.
