GONE! - Kawaii desune!!!!! This little teak stool from the 1950s/1960s is from here in Singapore, like all our vintage pieces (unless we note otherwise). It would be perfect for a vanity or dressing table, and would easily push under another piece of furniture when not in use. Really, we want to eat it like a buttery wafer of cuteness. Come prevent us. Om nom nom.

I think the pointed metal supports resemble spider legs, but in a good way. Provided there IS a good way to resemble spider legs, which I am suddenly beginning to doubt, but never mind. Newly made, the stools have a raw-wood top that contrasts beautifully with the black, metal legs and casters.

Two of the four stools at the woolworths counter originally in Greensboro, N Carolina. On February 1, 1960 four college black students decided they wanted to get served in the whites only counter and sparked the (de)segregation issue. It culminated on July 25 when the entire counter was declared open for all races.
