Canadian Pacific's train 801, drifts across the Rock River in Watertown, with a fine looking pair of Indiana's finest leading the charge through Wisconsin's colorful season.
The Stone Arch Bridge spans the Mississippi River on a winter night in Minneapolis, with the Gold Medal Flour sign and illuminated downtown skyscrapers reflected in the water.
A shot from years ago, near a place I once lived. This is Callicoon Creek, which flows into the Delaware River.

A pleasant early autumn afternoon, finds Amtrak's eastbound Empire Builder making time over the Rock River in Watertown.

The KCS MVNKC usually gets out of Venice early in the morning, but took longer than usual on this particular day. This had the result of making some of the shots as I follwed it north to be more backlit than I would have preferred. However, the later than usual running time opened up this shot at Piasa Creek as a possibility due to giving the sun time to cross over to the correct side of the tracks

A trio of Bridges in Minneapolis. The Hennepin Avenue Bridge, the 3rd Avenue Bridge and the Stone Arch Bridge. All crossing the Mississippi River in Minneapolis.
The Mississippi brings life to Minneapolis as it flows under the 3rd Avenue, Stone Arch, and 35W bridges - through Lock #1 and over St. Anthony Falls.
I spent the better part of New Years' Eve watching a wet heavy snow blanket Minneapolis. I spent the wee hours of New Years' morning watching the full moon drift across the sky. I spent about 1 minute considering whether or not I should take yet another trip to the Stone Arch Bridge. Boy am I glad I didn't talk myself out of hitting the road at 5am!

It's a pleasant spring afternoon, as we have a view from the fireman's side of Milwaukee Road SD10, 545 on westbound patrol 401. We're about to cross over the stone arch bridge that spans the Rock River in Watertown, where we will swap trains with eastbound patrol 400 at the Watertown depot, which is about a quarter mile ahead. Crews were great about letting a railfan tag along on the head end or ride the caboose when they would come to town. The film was that micro 110 anti-HD, but I wouldn't trade the poor quality for anything.

Built for the 1855 World's Fair, Pont des Invalides is a stone and masonary arch bridge. Two of it's arches subsided and were repaired in 1880; it's pavement was expanded in 1956.

The catfish were slow at biting in the Rock River in town, so just leaning against the old maple tree seemed like the proper way to pass the time while waiting for a glimpse of the past to roll through the scene.
