マルカメムシ/マルカメムシ科マルカメムシ属
甲虫のように見えますが、カメムシの仲間です
マメ科やタデ科などの草本の茎から吸汁するそうですが、このときはオオキンケイギクの花にとまっていました
点刻模様が面白いです
Ever since I found out it was possible to use a tele-converter with a 100mm macro lens (by inserting an extension tube between them), I've been looking for critters to photograph. This is uncropped to show just how much of the frame he filled.
I love the color and depth in this shot of some Lily's of the Nile - with stinkbug thrown in to boot. KIinda blends in doesn't he? Remember that next time you stop to smell the roses - or the Lily's of the Nile...
A BMS I found in my kitchen on my ginger plant. They're quite beautiful up close, like a wood burned sculpture. I will still smash them, however.

This is the most beautiful bug that has visited my desk in quite a while and, just for the record, he (or she) did not stink up the place.
